在片上网络(Network on Chip,NoC)系统中,本地子系统通常基于总线结构,而全局通信则由基于包交换的网络构成。然而,由于总线和网络之间通讯机制的差异,当本地子系统内各核访问全局资源的时候,系统整体性能将下降。在3D NoC中,由于全局...在片上网络(Network on Chip,NoC)系统中,本地子系统通常基于总线结构,而全局通信则由基于包交换的网络构成。然而,由于总线和网络之间通讯机制的差异,当本地子系统内各核访问全局资源的时候,系统整体性能将下降。在3D NoC中,由于全局网络规模的扩大,该问题将越发显著。对此,该文提出一种基于统计时分复用(Statistical Time Division Multiplex,STDM)技术的3D NoC架构。该架构首先在本地子系统引入STMD控制单元,然后在网络接口设计中增加了计数及等待机制,并对路由节点针对STDM技术进行了优化设计,以增强对STDM的支持,减小总线、网络间的差异。同时,该文还充分利用STDM帧的特点,设计了一种新的数据包格式,以进一步降低全局通信的网络负荷。为证明新方案的高效,该文采用SystemC语言进行系统级建模,仿真结果表明:该方案在降低网络负荷、减小通信延时方面有着显著效果。最佳情况下,两者可以分别降低为传统方案的45%和20.5%。而实际应用中,尤其对于通信密集型应用而言,该方法的改善效果也同样明显。展开更多
Statistical analysis of turbulent and gusty characteristics in the atmospheric boundary layer under weak wind period has been carried out.The data used in the analysis were from the multilevel ultrasonic anemometer-th...Statistical analysis of turbulent and gusty characteristics in the atmospheric boundary layer under weak wind period has been carried out.The data used in the analysis were from the multilevel ultrasonic anemometer-thermometers at 47 m,120 m,and 280 m levels on Beijing 325 m meteorological tower.The time series of 3D atmospheric velocity were analyzed by using conventional Fourier spectral analysis and decompose into three parts:basic mean flow(period > 10 min),gusty disturbances(1 min < period < 10 min)and turbulence fluctuations(period < 1 min).The results show that under weak mean wind condition:1)the gusty disturbances are the most strong fluctuations,contribute about 60% kinetic energy of eddy kinetic energy and 80% downward flux of momentum,although both the eddy kinetic energy and momentum transport are small in comparison with those in strong mean wind condition;2)the gusty wind disturbances are anisotropic;3)the gusty wind disturbances have obviously coherent structure,and their horizontal and vertical component are negatively correlated and make downward transport of momentum more effectively;4)the friction velocities related to turbulence and gusty wind are approximately constant with height in the surface layer.展开更多

Firstly, the global optimal model and constraints are created to demonstrate the static task scheduling problem in heterogeneous distributed computing systems(HeDCSs). Secondly, the genetic population is coded with matrix and used to search the total available time span of the processors, and then the simulated annealing algorithm is introduced to improve the convergence speed and overcome the problem of easily falling into local minimum point, which exists in the traditional genetic algorithm. Finally, compared to other existed scheduling algorithms such as dynamic level scheduling ( DLS), heterogeneous earliest finish time (HEFr), and longest dynamic critical path( LDCP), the proposed approach does not merely de- crease tasks schedule length, but also achieves the maximal resource utilization of parallel computa- tion system by extensive experiments.展开更多
AIM:To investigate the clinical features and survival of patients treated for cholangiocarcinoma in our institution and to analyze the factors affecting their survival.METHODS:This retrospective cohort study assessed ...AIM:To investigate the clinical features and survival of patients treated for cholangiocarcinoma in our institution and to analyze the factors affecting their survival.METHODS:This retrospective cohort study assessed patients diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma between January 1997 and December 2007 at the University Malaya Medical Centre in Malaysia.The clinical data and associated outcomes were collected using a structured proforma.RESULTS:Of the 69 patients diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma,38 (55%) were male;mean patient age was 61 years.Twelve patients (17%) had intrahepatic,38 (55%) had perihilar and 19 (28%) had distal tumors.Only 12 patients underwent curative surgery,including seven R0 resections.Only one patient died within 30 d after surgery.The overall median survival was 4 mo,whereas the median survival of R0 resected patients was 16 mo.The overall 1-,2-and 3-year cumulative survival rates were 67%,17% and 17%,respectively.Survival rates were significantly associated with curative resection (P=0.002),intrahepatic tumor (P=0.003),negative margin status (P=0.013),early tumor stage (P=0.016),higher tumor differentiation (P=0.032) and absence of jaundice (P=0.038).Multivariate analysis showed that tumor location was a significant independent predictor of patient survival.CONCLUSION:Curative,margin-negative resection of early stage,well-differentiated intrahepatic tumors is associated with improved patient survival.展开更多

Timing advanced estimation with Zadoff-Chu sequence is sensitive to the frequency offset...In satellite mobile communication system, relative movement of the satellite and the terminal will cause a large Doppler offset. Timing advanced estimation with Zadoff-Chu sequence is sensitive to the frequency offset. When the frequency offset is larger than one times subcarrier spacing, the value of peak cannot be detected at the receiving end. To suppress the larger Doppler frequency shift, this paper proposes a novel timing advanced estimation scheme(TAE-MCD) for satellite communication system. In this algorithm, t r a n s m i t t e d s i g n a l i s d i v i d e d i n t o Z C sequence and its conjugate sequence. Using multiplication and DFT operation to find the estimated peak at the receiving end, and make subtraction with the obtained sequences at last. The scheme can not only inhibit the adverse effects of large Doppler frequency shift in timing estimation effectively, but also reduce the computational complexity at the receiving end and improve the work efficiency of the hardware. Simulations results show that TAEMCD outperform the existing timing advanced estimation methods, on the condition of no additional time and frequency resource are needed.展开更多

We quantified forest fire act...Understanding the spatiotemporal links between drought and forest fire occurrence is crucial for improving decision-making in fire management under current and future climatic conditions. We quantified forest fire activity in Mexico using georeferenced fire records for the period of 2005–2015 and examined its spatial and temporal relationships with a multiscalar drought index, the Standardized Precipitation-Evapotranspiration Index(SPEI). A total of 47975 fire counts were recorded in the 11-year long study period, with the peak in fire frequency occurring in 2011. We identified four fire clusters, i.e., regions where there is a high density of fire records in Mexico using the Getis-Ord G spatial statistic. Then, we examined fire frequency data in the clustered regions and assessed how fire activity related to the SPEI for the entire study period and also for the year 2011. Associations between the SPEI and fire frequency varied across Mexico and fire-SPEI relationships also varied across the months of major fire occurrence and related SPEI temporal scales. In particular, in the two fire clusters located in northern Mexico(Chihuahua, northern Baja California), drier conditions over the previous 5 months triggered fire occurrence. In contrast, we did not observe a significant relationship between drought severity and fire frequency in the central Mexico cluster, which exhibited the highest fire frequency. We also found moderate fire-drought associations in the cluster situated in the tropical southern Chiapas where agriculture activities are the main causes of forest fire occurrence. These results are useful for improving our understanding of the spatiotemporal patterns of fire occurrence as related to drought severity in megadiverse countries hosting many forest types as Mexico.展开更多

There are great differences in foreshock populations in different tectonic blocks: the most abundant foreshocks occurred in the Lancang-Gengma and Tengchong-Baoshan blocks, which have the most abundant foreshocks in the Yunnan region. The predominant magnitude difference, time interval and spatial distance are 0. 5 -2. 9, within 10 days and within 20km, respectively. These characteristics can be used to forecast the mainshock after the identification of a foreshock.展开更多
