This study was conducted to fit the diameter-height data of Quercusglaucain Jeju Island, South Korea to the four commonly used stem taper equations andto evaluate the performance of the four stem taper models using four statistical criteria: Fit index (FI), root mean square error (RMSE), bias (),and absolute mean difference (AMD). Results showed that the Kozak02stem taper equation provided the best FI(0.9847), RMSE(1.5745),(-0.0030 cm) and AMD (1.0990 cm) whileMax and Burkhart model had the poorest performance among the four stem taper models based on the four evaluation statistics (FI : 0.9793,RMSE : 1.8272, : 0.3040 cm and AMD : 1.3060 cm). These stem taper equations can serve as a useful tool for forest managers in estimating the diameter outside bark at any given height, merchantable stem volumes and total stem volumesof the standing trees of Quercusglaucain theGotjawal forests located in Mount Halla, Jeju Island, South Korea. 展开更多

This study was conducted to evaluate the performance of six stem taper models on four tropical tree species, namely Celtis luzonica(Magabuyo),Diplodiscus paniculatus(Balobo), Parashorea malaanonan(Bagtikan), and Swietenia macrophylla(Mahogany) in Mount Makiling Forest Reserve(MMFR), Philippines using fit statistics and lack-of-fit statistics. Four statistical criteria were used in this study, including the standard error of estimate(SEE),coefficient of determination(R^2), mean bias( E),and absolute mean difference(AMD). For the lack-offit statistics, SEE, E and AMD were determined in different relative height classes. The results indicated that the Kozak02 stem taper model offered the best fit for the four tropical species in most statistics. The Kozak02 model also consistently provided the best performance in the lack-of-fit statistics with the best SEE, E and AMD in most of the relative height classes. These stem taper equations could help forest managers and researchers better estimate the diameter of the outside bark with any given height,merchantable stem volumes and total stem volumes of standing trees belonging to the four species of thetropical forest in MMFR. 展开更多

遥感影像分类是信息提取的关键技术,融合多种类型的数据可以提高影像的解译能力。以九江市Landsat 5TM影像为实验对象,采用多维数据复合下快速、无偏、高效统计树(quick unbiased efficient statistical tree,QUEST)算法的决策树分类... 遥感影像分类是信息提取的关键技术,融合多种类型的数据可以提高影像的解译能力。以九江市Landsat 5TM影像为实验对象,采用多维数据复合下快速、无偏、高效统计树(quick unbiased efficient statistical tree,QUEST)算法的决策树分类方法,综合影像的光谱特征、地理信息数据和影像分类结果,根据样本数据自动挖掘分类规则,实现影像解译,并将分类结果和普通的QUEST决策树分类进行定量比较分析。结果表明:(1)采用多维数据复合下QUEST决策树分类的总精度和Kappa系数分别为89.83%和0.872,较普通的QUEST决策树分类方法有较大提高;(2)在地物类型丰富的区域,多维数据复合下QUEST决策树分类方法适应性更好;(3)选用SVM(support vector machine)分类结果作为辅助数据,滩地和水库坑塘的用户精度提高最为明显,分别提高了29.96%和17.08%。 展开更多

The lathes are basic machine tools for manufacturing cylindrical parts. In recent years, the DLseries computer numerical control(CNC) heavy-duty horizontal lathes(HDHLs) have been widely used in the transportation, energy and aviation industries. High availability of the CNC heavy-duty lathes is demanded to guarantee the efficiency and benefit of these manufacturing industries. As one of the key subsystems of the HDHLs, the feeding control system is studied in this paper on reliability modeling and reliability analysis. The fault tree analysis(FTA) method is used for reliability modelling of the feeding control system. Considering the multiple common cause failure groups(CCFGs) existing in the system, a modified beta factor parametric model is introduced to model the common cause failure(CCF) in system. The reliability of feeding control system is then obtained and the effect of CCF on the reliability of the whole system is studied as well. 展开更多

This paper deals with the statistical modeling of latent topic hierarchies in text corpora. The height of the topic tree is assumed as fixed, while the number of topics on each level as unknown a priori and to be inferred from data. Taking a nonpara-metric Bayesian approach to this problem, we propose a new probabilistic generative model based on the nested hierarchical Dirichlet process (nHDP) and present a Markov chain Monte Carlo sampling algorithm for the inference of the topic tree structure as well as the word distribution of each topic and topic distribution of each document. Our theoretical analysis and experiment results show that this model can produce a more compact hierarchical topic structure and captures more fine-grained topic rela-tionships compared to the hierarchical latent Dirichlet allocation model. 展开更多
