According to their influencing factors and reciprocity mechanism, using system dynamics approaches, this paper built a SD model for measuring the carrying capacity of resources and environment of the city clusters in the central China, and through setting different development models, the comprehensive measurement analysis on the carrying capacity was carried out. The results show that the model of promoting socio-economic development under the protection of resources and environment is the optimal model for promoting the harmony development of resources, environment, society and economy in the city clusters. According to this model, the optimum population scale of the city clusters in 2020 is 42.80×106 persons, and the moderate economic development scale is 22.055×1012 yuan (RMB). In 1996-2020, the carrying capacity of resources and environment in the city clusters took on obvious phase-change characteristics. During the studied period, it is basically at the initial development stage, and will come through the development process from slow development to speedup development.展开更多

Researchers concur on the issues related to sequential design in handling client requirements, and suggest the use of an integrated design approach as an alternative. Little has been said, however, about the impact of adopting integrated design＇s work organization to traditional design practice, processes and tools, nor about the importance of breaking down socio-cognitive barriers related to mental model fragmentation between design professionals, clients and users. This may result in cognitive inertia, a major source of waste. The objective of this research is to develop and test the introduction of boundary objects, such as new technologies, to the context of integrated teams and organizations to break the cognitive inertia that hinders value generation. The research is conclusive about the effectiveness of using boundary objects to transform practices in construction. This research also contributes to a better understanding of the new purposes of construction projects by framing its context and process dimensions within a theoretical framework, as well as to the evolution of practices in construction - and of practices that could be applicable to other fields.展开更多

This study was done as a ease study to explore the role of Remeleh Group （RG） as a CBO in the management of the ＂Kharkheh＂ sub-basin. Participatory action and learning method was used. Participatory tools including natural resources mapping, flow diagram, transect walk, semi-structured interview and brainstorming were applied. Making the conclusion, it was found that the CBO of Remeleh Group cause： （1） Enhancement of social capital through encouraging cooperation and participatory practices, creating new communication among local residents and outsiders, reducing conflicts and promoting the solidarity among communities in the sub basin of Karldaeh; （2） Sustain livelihood and economic situation through agricultural intensification and livelihood diversification （gardening and agriculture together and reducing migration）; （3） Conservation of environmental and natural recourses via the implementation of watershed activities like vine, terracing, bunding and destocking, seedling, and check dams; （4） Empower local people through carrying out training on the watershed practices.展开更多

In other words, they compensate their divergent intrinsic emotions with imitated convergences （eg., the monotonous ＂convergence obsessed＂ logic of hammering, wringing hands etc.） Today＇s science cannot declare this to be convergent, especially for the fact that psychotic autist patients prove to be weak at convergence, but the male/female proportion reflects on notable facts （with Kanner syndrome it is 3：1 or 4：1, while Rett syndrome only affects females）. Can we declare Kanner and Rett syndromes to be basically female brain disorders？ Asperger-autism has been scientifically considered as a type of ＂male-brain disorder＂ since 199l （Baron-Cohen theory）. The proportion of male-female is approximately 6：1 with this disease. The author would like to demonstrate a very special case, the Asperger-autism as a ＂cognitive autism.＂ It is common to address autistic disorder as ＂pervasive＂ or ＂comprehensive＂ ontogenetic disorders because they affect all areas of adolescent psychological development negatively. Values in particular become more relevant if taking into consideration the company as a set of ＂human beings＂; companies must be more integrated with its reference society and need to communicate with both external and internal audience covering different expectations, needs and cultures. In this sense, the traditional communication may be now defined as ＂integrated communication＂. Accordingly, ethical principles and corporate social responsibility values are fundamental drivers of this integrated communication policies and are more and more reflected into the company＇s mission. The aim of the present paper is to analyze--at both a quality and an empirical level--the effectiveness of ethics and corporate social responsibility values as drivers for integrated communication. A sample of Italian listed food and beverage companies has been considered to establish if and how ethical principles and sharing corporate values have been built and implemented during the last years; the expected results are to demonstrate the link between literature and empirical evidence concerning effectiveness of integrated communication and its impact on company＇s financial results and--in particular--on value creation for shareholders. Eventually, the study results show that there might be huge benefits in using an integrated communication; talking to people in a coherent way and sharing values constantly make firms achieve best results.展开更多

In the face of these socio-economic realities, economists are trying to determine exactly how inclusive China＇s growth has been and how to increase that inclusiveness going forward. This paper aims to examine and measure the rate of inclusiveness in China＇s growth from 1978 to 2009 using a membership-based fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Results indicate that the past 30 years in China have only achieved ＂basic inclusivity, ＂ which indicates that there is much work to be done before China＇s economic growth can be considered to have equally benefited its entire population.展开更多
