Nevertheless, resource management in MG is much more complicated than that in other grid applications due to the geographically distributed manufacturing resources, which range from CAD, CAPP and CAE to various kinds of machine tools. With the interaction of manufacturing grid information service (MGIS, developed by ourselves) and globus resource allocation manager (GRAM, provided by GT3), a resource management framework is presented to perform the functions of resource encapsulation, registry, discovery and monitoring. Furthermore, the application architecture and an example are depicted to illustrate the utilization of the resource management system.展开更多

This paper studies the service-ori- ented network virtualization architecture for loT services. Firstly the semantic description method for loT services is proposed, then the resource representation model and resource management model in the environment of network virtualization are presented. Based on the above models, the service-oriented virtual network architecture for loT is established. Finally, a smart campus system is designed and deployed based on the service-oriented virtual network architecture. Moreover, the proposed architecture and models are verified in experiments.展开更多

People seldom studied the costs of those security schemes respectively and for some security methods designed and adopted beforehand, their effects are often investigated one by one. In fact, when facing certain attacks, different methods would respond individually and result in waste of resources. Making use of the cost management idea, we analyze the costs of security measures in mobile ad hoc networks and introduce a security framework based on security mechanisms cost management. Under the framework, the network system's own tasks can be finished in time and the whole network's security costs can be decreased. We discuss the process of security costs computation at each mobile node and in certain nodes groups. To show how to use the proposed security framework in certain applications, we give examples of DoS attacks and costs computation of defense methods. The results showed that more secure environment can be achieved based on the security framework in mobile ad hoc networks.展开更多

We investigate the feasibility of the proposals used for the network architecture evolution from 4G to 5G and first propose a compatible network architecture, which decouples the management plane, the control plane and the user plane based on NO Stack framework proposed in our previous study. We mainly design detail procedures including UE attachment, service request and dedicated bearer activation/deactivation for our proposal network architecture. Finally, we establish a clear analytical mode of the application and system states to evaluate the signaling loads of new architecture. Simulation results show that our proposal network architecture with elaborated signaling procedures has much impact on the total signaling loads of system and could obviously decrease the signaling overhead compared with LTE.展开更多
