Based on open grid service architecture (OGSA) and Globus Toolkit 3. 0 (GT3), a manufacturing grid (MG) is proposed to realize resource sharing and collaborative working among manufacturing enterprises. Nevertheless, resource management in MG is much more complicated than that in other grid applications due to the geographically distributed manufacturing resources, which range from CAD, CAPP and CAE to various kinds of machine tools. With the interaction of manufacturing grid information service (MGIS, developed by ourselves) and globus resource allocation manager (GRAM, provided by GT3), a resource management framework is presented to perform the functions of resource encapsulation, registry, discovery and monitoring. Based on the advantages of both Grid and peer-to-peer (P2P) networks, an overlay network in the Grid environment is constructed by P2P technologies by a modified version of the Chord protocol. In this mechanism, different nodes' accesses to different resources are determined by their contribution. Therefore, the heterogeneous resources of virtual organizations in large-scale Grid can be effectively integrated, and the key node failure as well as system bottleneck in the traditional Grid environment is eliminated. The experimental results indicate that this management mechanism can achieve better average performance in the Grid environment and maintain the P2P characteristics as well. 展开更多

A feasible design of ultra-dense Small cell network involves an effective solution to the interference coordination especially in cell edge. In this paper, we propose a channel state and interference aware power allocation scheme(PAG) as an enhanced solution to improve the system performance, especially for the cell-edge users. Cournot model in Non-cooperative game is employed for power adjustment in Small cell clusters to increase cell-edge users' throughput by considering the power limitation and interference coordination. Additionally, we take iterative Water Filling scheme as a comparison to clarify that the PAG scheme has struck a favorable balance between system efficiency and fairness. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme contributes to the enhancement of edge users' throughput and cells' coverage. Moreover, the scheme is observed to show a stronger adaptability in denser Small cell networks. 展开更多
