It includes psychiatric symptoms such as substance withdrawal symptoms, emotional disorders and loss of social relationship, as well as a group of syndromes of subhealth and autonomic nervous dysfunction. Patients with IAD usually have a strong emotional reliance on the internet. They feel delighted and content in on-line activities, and often go on to use internet because of the withdrawal symptoms such as irritability, anxiety and insomnia.
