In our method, the network growth does not take into account preferential attachment, and the attachment of new node is independent of the degree of nodes. Our aim is that employing the theory of evolution network, we give a further understanding about the dynamical evolution of the traffic flow. We investigate the probability distributions and scaling properties of the proposed model The simulation results indicate that in the proposed model, the distribution of the output connections can be well described by scale-free distribution. Moreover, the distribution of the connections is largely related to the traffic flow states, such as the exponential distribution (i.e., the scale-free distribution) and random distribution etc.展开更多

Thanks to recent progress enabling a variety of optical transceivers up to 40 Gb/s, many evolution possibilities to 200G PONs (passive optical network) could be investigated. This work proposes two directly deployable cases of evolution to 200G PON based on the combination of these improved optical transceivers and WDM (wavelength division multiplexing). The physical layer of the optical network has been simulated with OptiSystem software to show the communication links performances behavior when considering key components parameters in order to achieve good network design for a given area. The complexity of the proposed architectures and financial cost comparisons are also discussed.展开更多

The authors applied BP neural network and BP neural network optimized with PSO into the inversion of 3D density interface respectively, and a comparison was drawn to demonstrate the inversion results. To start with,a synthetic density interface model was created and we used the proceeding inversion methods to test their effectiveness. And then two methods were applied into the inversion of the depth of Moho interface. According to the results,it is clear to find that the application effect of PSO-BP is better than that of BP network. The BP network structures used in both synthetic and field data are consistent in order to obtain preferable inversion results. The applications in synthetic and field tests demonstrate that PSO-BP is a fast and effective method in the inversion of 3D density interface and the optimization effect is evident compared with BP neural network merely, and thus, this method has practical value.展开更多

The paper premised on the webcast phenomenon as an offshoot of broadcasting. It begins by outlining the origins, history, and definitions of webcasting as a global phenomenon before linking these trends to the historical and contemporary context of Nigeria. Adopting the in-depth interview, the paper highlights the motivations for and advantages of using webcasting in Nigeria. It also provides prospects, challenges, and conclusions about the use of this technology within an African context. The paper posits that webcasting as an innovation has gained a firm hold among terrestrial broadcast outfits in the highly populated African country.展开更多

The concept of network inversion has been studied as a neural-network-based solution to inverse problems. In general, inverse problems are not limited to a real-valued area. Recently, complex-valued neural networks have been actively studied in the field of neural networks. As an extension of network inversion to complex numbers, a complex-valued network inversion has been proposed. Moreover, inverse problems for estimating the parameters of distributed generation systems such as distributed energy plants or smart grids from observed electric circuit data have been studied in the field of natural energy. These emphasize the need to handle complex numbers in an alternating current (AC) circuit. In this paper, the authors propose an application of the complex-valued network inversion to the inverse estimation of a distributed generation. Further, the authors confirm the effectiveness of the complex-valued network inversion on the basis of simulation results.展开更多

In this work, the effects of strain rate and temperature on the structural evolution of interface dislocation network in Ni-based superalloys are studied by molecular dynamics simulations. The correlation between the evolution of dislocation network and tensile properties is also explored. The results indicate that the dislocation network shows different degrees of deformation and damage at various strain rates and temperatures. The ),' rafting depends on the damage structure of dislocation network at various strain rates and tem- peratures. Moreover, the tensile properties of interface in Ni-based superalloys are closely related to the evolution of disloca- tion network and dislocation motion mechanisms.展开更多

With the aid of random interchanging algorithm, we investigate the relations between the outcomes of the ultimatum game and some topological ingredients, including the average range, the clustering coefficient and the heterogeneity, and so forth. It is found that for the regular, random and small-work networks, the average range and the clustering coefficient have evident impacts on the ultimatum game, while for the scale-free network, the original degree heterogeneity and the underlying rich-club characterizations are the mainly important topological ingredients that influence the outcomes of ultimatum game substantially.展开更多

This mapping addresses the dynamical behavior of the fitness model within the framework of nonextensive statistics mechanics, which is characterized by a dimensionless nonextensivity parameter q. It is found that this new phenomenological parameter plays an important role in the evolution of networks: the underlying evolving networks may undergo a different phases depending on the q exponents, comparing to the original B-B fitness model, and the corresponding critical transition temperature Tc is also identified.展开更多
