The method is based on the CL-emitting reaction between meloxicam and potassium permanganate in a hydrochloric acid medium, enhanced by formaldehyde （HCHO）. Under optimum conditions, calibration curve over the range of 1.0-20.0μg/mL was obtained. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of meloxicam in capsules with no evi- dence of interference from common excipients. The detection limit of this method was 25.6 ng/mL. The relative standard deviation was 2.1% for 10.0 μg/mL meloxicam. The sample throughput was found to be 120 samples/h.展开更多

METHODS: We enrolled 15 symptomatic patients with a pathological esophageal 24-h pH-metry and bilimetry. Patients underwent endoscopy and biopsies were taken from the distal esophagus. Specimens were analyzed at histology and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Patients were treated with omeprazole 40 mg/d for 3 mo and then endoscopy with biopsies was repeated. Patients with persistent heartburn and/or with an incomplete recovery of DIS were treated for 3 more months and endoscopy with biopsies was performed. RESULTS: Nine patients had a non-erosive reflux disease at endoscopy (NERD) while 6 had erosive esophagitis (ERD). At histology, of the 6 patients with erosive esophagitis, 5 had mild esophagitis and 1 moderate esophagitis. No patients with NERD showed histological signs of esophagitis. After 3 mo of therapy, 13/15 patients (86.7%,P<0.01) showed a complete recovery of DIS and disappearance of heartburn. Of the 2 patients treated for 3 more months, complete recovery of DIS and heartburn were achieved in one. CONCLUSION: Three or 6 mo of omeprazole therapy led to a complete regression of the ultrastructural esophageal damage in 86.7% and in 93% of patients with DGER, NERD and ERD respectively. The ultrastructural recovery of the epithelium was accompanied by regression of heartburn in all cases.展开更多
In order to improve patient care in the United States there,the government made a mandate called HIE(Health Information Exchange).This order was created from the belief that sharing digital health in-formation between...In order to improve patient care in the United States there,the government made a mandate called HIE(Health Information Exchange).This order was created from the belief that sharing digital health in-formation between,across,and within health communities will improve one's healthcare experience across their lifespan.Patient health information,i.e.the personal health record,should be shareable between healthcare providers;such as private practice physicians,home health agencies,hospitals and nursing care facilities.Most of the U.S.hospitals now have electronic health records,however,with a lack of standards for structuring health information and unified communication protocols to share health information across providers,only a small percentage of U.S.hospitals engage in computerized HIE.In order to understand barriers and facilitators in the U.S.of HIE adoption,we reviewed the published research literature between 2010 and 2015.Our search yielded 664 articles from Medline,PsychInfo,Global health,InSpec,Scopus and Business Source Complete databases.Thirty-nine articles met our inclusion criteria.This article presents the compiled organizational and end user barriers and facilitators along with suggested methods to achieve continuity of care through HIE.展开更多

The essay tries to highlight specific historical, sociological, and cultural variables the clinician must be aware of to work effectively in this setting.
