[Method] The red blood cells isolated from Eperythro- zoon positive mink was cultured in complete medium (70% RPMI-1640 medium and 30% calf serum), supplemented with bernier, oxytetracycline, trichlorfon, tylosin, imi- docarb, florfenicol, Fuhongjuesha or primaquine phosphate at the working concentra- tions of 12, 24, 36, 48 and 96 μL/ml, incubated at 37.3 ℃, 5% CO2. [Result] Fuhongjuesha was most efficient for killing Eperythrozoon, followed by trichiorfon and primaquine phosphate, but trichlorfon is toxic. Bernier, imidocarb and florfenicol are efficient. [Conclusion] The study provides a scientific reference for clinical treatment of eperythrozoonosis.展开更多

With 1,500 rock arts and 4,000 archaeological sites it is the fourth largest rock art region in the world. The entire Saudi Arabia has been comprehensively surveyed, investigated, and documented under the auspices of the Saudi Arabian Department of Antiquities (now Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities). The archaeological and rock art investigations revealed tantalizing results providing the evidence of human presence in the Arabian Peninsula from the early Acheulean period until the present day. In addition to the ancient towns and cities like Madain Saleh (contemporary to Petra in Jordan), Tayma, Domat al-Jandal, Thaj, and al-Fao and Ukhdoud hundreds of strange, mysterious, and mystic structures and petrolyghs are located in the deserts of Arabia. A few of such sites are discussed in this paper, highlighting the strong but still unknown to the world the cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia.展开更多

The study of these class of material will also highlight some aspects of the Early Medieval trade, a period in which sensible political changes occurred after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The Ayla-Axum amphorae, found in several Red Sea's sites, are significant indicators of trading activities in the region, whose production, transport and diffusion are far from having been thoroughly investigated up to now. Although most scholars think it was used to transport date wine, at least judging on some tituli picti found in these containers, in recent years Parker and Dolinka have suggested that they might have carried garum or a similar fish-sauce produced at Ayla-AqabaI.展开更多
