Methods: A total of 66 patients with acne vulgaris were randomized into an observation group and a control group by the random number table, with 33 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with auricular point pricking-bloodletting plus auricular point sticking therapy, and the control group was treated only with auricular point sticking therapy. The treatments of both groups were performed twice a week, 4 weeks as a course of treatment, for 3 courses in total. The scores of skin lesions and dermatology life quality index (DLQI) scores were recorded before and after treatment to assess the clinical efficacy. Results: During the trial, there were 3 cases of drop-out both in the observation group and the control group. After 3 courses of treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was 96.7%, while that of the control group was 76.7%. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The intra-group comparison showed that the scores of skin lesion and DLQI were both decreased with the increase of treatment times, that was, the scores were lower than those at the previous time point (allP<0.05). After 1, 2, and 3 courses of treatment, the scores of skin lesion and DLQI of both groups were statistically different from those of the same group before treatment (allP<0.05). At every time point during the treatment, the scores of skin lesion and DLQI of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Auricular point pricking-bloodletting plus auricular point sticking has a better curative effect than auricular point sticking therapy alone in the treatment of acne vulgaris, and has a time-effect correlation.展开更多

Methods: A total of 72 participants who met the in clusi on criteria were en rolled in a ran domized con trolled trial, with 36 cases allocated to a treatment group and 36 cases allocated to a control group. Both groups were given dexzopiclone as the routine treatment. Patients in the treatment group were given auricular acupressure with Wang Bu Liu Xing (Semen Vaccariae) seeds at the auricular acupoints related to sleep and emotion based on meridian theory, whereas for patients in the control group, the medical plasters with Wang Bu Liu Xing (Semen Vaccariae) seeds were only gently stuck to acupoints unrelated to sleep without stimulation. Patients in both groups were required to visit the hospital once a week for replacing the seeds and plasters. The course of intervention lasted for 8 weeks and the patients were followed up for another 4 weeks. Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) and Karolinska sleep diary (KSD) were used to evaluate the outcomes. Meanwhile, adverse effects were monitored and recorded. Results: In the enrolled 72 cases, 4 patients (one in the treatment group and three in the control group) reported thirst and a bitter taste, and one case in the control group reported nausea and vomiting. At last, 3 cases in the control group dropped out for adverse reactions, and 69 cases completed the clinical trial. After 8 weeks of treatment, the global scores of PSQI in both treatment and control groups decreased significantly compared with the baseline (both PvO.001). Furthermore, the global score of PSQI in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.01). The global scores of PSQI in both groups at the follow-up were significantly different from the baseline (both PvO.001), but insignificantly different compared with the post-treatment results (both P>0.05). According to KSD, both treatment protocols could prolong the total sleep time, shorten sleep-onset latency, improve sleep efficacy and sleep quality significantly, and the changes in the treatment group were more significant. The total effective rate was 88.9% in the treatment group, higher than 81.8% in the control group, though the difference was statistically insignificant (P>0.05). Con elusion: Dexzopicl one plus auricular acupressure is effective and safe for pati ents with primary in somnia both in short and long terms, and it is more effective tha n mono therapy of dexzopicl one.展开更多

Methods: Sixty patients with lumbar strain were randomized at ratio of 1:1 into two groups. The 30 cases in the observation group were given auricular point sticking plus externally applied medicinal plaster; the other 30 cases in a control group were only treated by the plaster. The Short-form of McGill Pain Questionnaire (SFMPQ) was adopted before treatment, after 3-day treatment, and at the end of 2-week treatment, for scoring and evaluation. Results: After 3-day treatment, the observation group gained significant improvement in Pain Rating Index (PRI), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and Present Pain Intensity (PPI) (P〈0.05), while the improvements of PRI, VAS, and PPI in the control group were insignificant. After 2-week treatment, both groups gained significant progress in PRI, VAS, AND PPI compared with pre-treatment (P〈0.01), and the inter-group comparison of PRI showed marked difference (P〈0.05), but the differences in comparing VAS and PPI between the two groups were insignificant. There were merely any side effects happening in the two groups, except that some patients felt itchy, and the inter-group comparison did not show statistical significance. Conclusion: Auricular point sticking plus externally applied medicinal plaster has better effect than single plaster in treating lumbar strain induced pain, and it's safe and credible.展开更多

Con elusion: Dexzopicl one plus auricular acupressure is effective and safe for pati ents with primary in somnia both in short and long terms, and it is more effective tha n mono therapy of dexzopicl one.
文摘Objective:To observe the clinical effect of auricular point sticking therapy for cardiac syndrome X(CSX)in women. Methods:A total of 64 patients were randomized into two groups by the random number table, with 32 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional treatment for angina, while patients in the treatment group received auricular point sticking therapy on the basis of conventional treatment. After 8 weeks of treatment, the levels of serum estradiol(E2),nitric oxide(NO)and endothelium-1(ET-1)were compared to evaluate the therapeutic effect. Results:After 8 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate and markedly effective rate in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance(both P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of chest pain and tightness in the control group dropped significantly, and the intra-group comparisons showed statistical significance(both P<0.05);the scores of chest pain and tightness, palpitations, weakness and shortness of breath in the treatment group dropped significantly, and the intra-group comparisons showed statistical significance(all P<0.05);there were significant inter-group differences in the scores of chest pain and tightness. After treatment, the intra-group comparisons of E2,NO and ET-1 contents in the control group showed no statistical significance(all P>0.05),while the E2,NO and ET-1 contents in the treatment group changed significantly after treatment and were significantly different from those in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion:Auricular point sticking on the basis of conventional treatment was effective for CSX in women, and is worth clinical application.

Results: Point penetrating injection plus ear pressing is the effective method in treating primary trigeminal neuralgia.
文摘Objective: To explore the effect of auricular point sticking in relieving chemotherapy induced vomiting, and to observe its effect on the usage of Ondansetron hydrochlorid injection. Methods: Fifty subjects were randomized into a control group and an observation group. The cases in the control group received Ondansetron hydrochlorid injection (i.v.) prior to chemotherapy; while those in the observation group received additional auricular point sticking a day before chemotherapy till the end of the chemotherapy. Results: The dose of Ondansetron hydrochlorid used in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control (P〈0.05). Conclusion: Auricular point sticking can reduce the dose of Ondansetron hydrochlorid in the patients with chemotherapy induced vomiting, and effectively attenuate vomiting.
文摘Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus auricular plaster therapy for treating migraine. Methods: One hundred and fifty migraine patients were randomly allocated to an observation group (n=90) and a control group (n=60). The observation group were treated by acupuncture plus auricular plaster therapy based on syndrome differentiation and the control group, by oral administration of Flunarizine. The curative effects were compared between the two groups. Results: The total efficacy rate was 94.4% in the observation group and higher than in the control group (73.3%). The recovery rate was 87.8% in the observation group and higher than in the control group (55.0%). There were significant differences between the two groups (both P〈0.01). The curative effect was significantly better in the observation group than in the control group. Conclusion: Clinically, acupuncture plus auricular plaster therapy based on syndrome differentiation has a good effect on migraine.
文摘Objective: To observe the effect of auricular point sticking on pain due to lumbar strain. Conclusion: Auricular point sticking plus externally applied medicinal plaster has better effect than single plaster in treating lumbar strain induced pain, and it's safe and credible.
