The carboxylic group content of PMA-100 and the rate of complexation reaction were measured. Effects of the mass ratio of PMA-100 to Mn(II) (n), pH, background electrolyte, etc on the rejection rate (R) and permeate flux (J) were investigated. The results show that carboxylic group content of PMA-100 is 9.5 mmol/g. The complexation of Mn(II) with PMA-100 is rapid and completed within 5 min at pH 6.0. Both R and J increase with pH increasing in the range of 2.5-7.0, and R increases with the increase of n at pH 6.0 while J is little affected. The background electrolyte leads to the decrease of R, and CaCl2 has much greater effect on R than NaCl at the same ionic strength.展开更多

The total fibres content ranges from 0 4%-0 95% by volume of concrete. A four point bending test is adopted on the notched prisms with the size of 100?mm×100?mm×500?mm to investigate the effect of hybrid fibres on crack arresting. The research results show that there is a positive synergy effect between large steel fibres and polypropylene fibres on the load bearing capacity in the small displacement range. But this synergy effect disappears in the large displacement range. The large and strong steel fibre is better than soft polypropylene fibre and small steel fibre in the aspect of energy absorption capacity in the large displacement range. The static usage limitation for the hybrid fibres concrete with “wide peak' or “multi peaks' load CMOD pattern should be carefully selected. The ultimate load bearing capacity and the crack width or CMOD at this load level should be jointly considered.展开更多

The result shows that the plasma etching treatment is useful to improve the wicking property of polypropylene, although too much time of treatment may be converse to the wicking property. A surface roughness theory is applied to explain the reason why the plasma can improve the wicking property. In this experiment, fibers with different treating time under certain voltage(180 V) and pressure(0.1 mm Hg)are used as experimental sample.展开更多

Carbon fibers with and without electrodeposited Fe-Cr2O3 composite coating were heat treated at different temperatures and the structural changes were characterized by XRD, Raman spectroscopy and SEM. The results indicate that Fe-Cr2O3 composite coating exhibits a significant catalytic effect on graphitization of carbon fibers at low temperatures. When the Fe-Cr2O3-coated carbon fibers were heat treated at 1 300℃ the interlayer spacing (doo2) and ratio of relative peak area (AD/AG) reach 3.364/k and 0.34, respectively. Whereas, the extent of graphitization of pristine carbon fibers is comparatively low even after heat treatment at 2 800℃ and the values of doo2 and AD/AG are 3.414 A and 0.68, respectively. The extent of graphitization of carbon fibers increases not only with the increase of the catalyst gross but also the Cr2O3 content in Fe-Cr2O3 coating. The catalytic effect of Fe-Cr2O3 composite coating accords with the dissolution-precipitation mechanism.展开更多

By studying the key parameters of the fiber dosage, the spray layer thickness, and the fiber reinforced concrete injection time, etc. It is found that the ideal volume ratio of polypropylene (crude) fiber is 0.8% (V/V), and the secondary lining fiber concrete spraying should start when the shrinkage rate is lower than 0.5 mm/d, and the optimal thickness of shotcrete is 120 mm. The supporting effects and the economic benefits were studied using a real project practice, and the result obtained can be a good reference for practical applications of this new supporting material in the future.展开更多
