The MIP was developed on the silica-coated UCNPs using N-(1... A novel molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) based on upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) was successfully synthesized for determination of Ochratoxin A (OTA). The MIP was developed on the silica-coated UCNPs using N-(1-hydroxy-2-naphthoyl amido)-(L)-phenylalanine (HNA-Phe) as the alternative template. The final composite combined the advantages of the high selectivity of MIP with the high fluorescence intensity of UCNPs which was selective and sensitive to OTA. Under the optimal condition, the fluorescence intensity of UCNPs@SiO2@MIP decreases linearly when the concentration of OTA increases from 0.05 to 1.0 mg/L. The detection limit of OTA with the method was 0.031 mg/L. At three spiked concentration levels (50, 100 and 200 μg/kg), the recovery ranges of OTA in corn, rice and feed are 88.0%–91.6%, 80.2%–91.6% and 89.2%–90.4%, respectively. 展开更多

It has been known that the static polarizability of a polymer chain with a biexciton is negative. In order to understand this peculiar fact, this paper studies the dynamical process of the charge transfer in the polymer chain induced by an external electric held E during forming the biexciton. The time dependence of the charge distribution in the chain reveals that the charge transfer is backward: the positive charge shifts in the opposite direction of the external electric field. Such a backward charge transfer (BCT) produces an opposite dipole, which makes the polarization negative. The effect of electron interaction on the BCT is illustrated. 展开更多

The development of hydrogen redox electric power generators for infinite cruising range electric vehicles represents a true technological breakthrough. Such systems consist of a polymer electrolyte membrane hydrogen electrolytic cell equipped with an electrostatic-induction potential-superposed water electrolytic cell that provides a stoichiometric H2-O2 fuel mixture during operation of the vehicle. This generator functions with zero power input, zero matter input and zero emission due to the so-called "zero power input" electrostatic-to-chemical energy conversion occurring in the electrolytic cell. Here, theoretical simulations were performed to verify the target performance of such generators, assuming a pair of FC (fuel cell) and electrolytic cell stacks, both of which are commercially available. 展开更多

Crosslink polymerization kinetics of poly(acrylic acid-co-2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid),AA/AMPS hydrogels,was investigated by using dilatometry in the presence of sodium persulfate as initiator and N,N'-methylene bis(acrylamide) as crosslinker.It was found that the reaction for the crosslink polymerization of AA/AMPS hydrogels had orders of 0.58,1.14,and 0.86 with respect to the initiator,AMPS,and AA,respectively.From the Arrhenius plots,the activation energy of the crosslink polymerization was found to be about 140 and 89 kJ·mol-1 in the presence and absence of the crosslinker,respectively,in the temperature range from 45 to 65 °C.It was noted that the crosslinker had effects on the reaction order of the initiator and the activation energy due to the formation of cross-linked networks,which was verified by Fourier transfer infrared (FTIR) spectrum.To further confirm the influences of the cross-linked network structure on kinetic parameters of the crosslink polymerization,a mechanism was proposed,which highlights the different termination routes between free radical polymerization and crosslink polymerization.These results suggest that dilatometry provides a convenient tool for crosslink polymeri-zation study,and confirm that the cross-linked networks are formed in the crosslink polymerization. 展开更多

The effect of transition metal ions(M^(2+)=Mn^(2+),Ni^(2+),Co^(2+),Cu^(2+)) on the chemical synthesis of polyaniline(PANI) used as a platinum-free counter electrode(CE) in dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs) was investigated.PANI was synthesized by co-polymerization of aniline in the presence of different transition metal ions by using potassium dichromate in acidic medium. It was found that the ion doping of PANI showed a certain catalytic activity for the regeneration of traditional iodide/triiodide(I^-/I_3^-) redox couples. The power conversion efficiency(η) of PANI CEs doped with Mn^(2+),Ni^(2+),Co^(2+) (4.41%, 2.36% and 2.10%, respectively) were higher than 1.94%, the value measured for PANI CE without doping. Doping with Cu^(2+)decreased the power conversion efficiency of PANI CE(PANI-Cu^(2+) η = 1.41%). The electrical properties of the PANI, PANI-Ni^(2+), PANI-Co^(2+),PANI-Mn^(2+) and PANI-Cu^(2+) were studied by cyclic voltammetry(CV), impedance(EIS), and Tafel polarization curve. The experimental results confirmed that PANI was affected by the doping of different transition metal ions(M^(2+)=Mn^(2+),Ni^(2+),Co^(2+),Cu^(2+)). These results indicate a potential application of ion doped PANI as counter electrode in cost-effective DSSCs. 展开更多

Two stereomers of bisadduct analogues of [6, 6]-phenyl-C71-butyric acid methyl ester (bisPC71BM) were synthesized and their geometrical structures with cis- or trans-configuration were identified by X-ray crystallogra- phy. Although both of the bisPC71BM have similar spec- trometric and electrochemical properties, the spatial orientation of the two addition groups on C7o has impact on crystal packing and molecular assembly of bisPC71BM isomers and, in turn, photovoltaic performance in polymer solar cell based on poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) (with power conversion efficiency of 1.72 % and 1.84 % for the solar cells involving cis- and trans-bisPC71BM, respec- tively). Although the power conversion efficiency remains to be improved, this work exemplifies that the photovoltaic properties of fullerene-based electron acceptors areinfluenced by aggregation of the stereomeric molecules and thus extends the guidelines for rational design of efficient fullerene acceptor. 展开更多

Herein,a facile and highly efficient synthetic method to prepare organic photothermal materials with high photo-stability and outstanding photothermal performance is reported.Through direct polymerization of commercial aromatic monomers in the presence of anhydrous aluminium chloride and dichloromethane,four kinds of conjugated microporous polymers(CMPs)were obtained.Detailed structural analysis confirmed that the resultant CMPs possessed abundant micropores with an extendedπ-conjugated skeleton.Under near-infrared(NIR)light irradiation(808 nm,1.0 W cm−2),all the CMPs showed fast heating-up behavior with their maximum temperatures higher than 150℃.Moreover,the efficiency of photothermal conversion(η)of the CMPs was found to increase linearly with the increase in the number of conjugated benzene rings within the monomer.Poly-TPE from tetraphenylethylene(TPE)and Poly-TP from o-terphenyl(TP)showed highηvalues of over 47%.Poly-TPE was additionally used as a photothermal filler to remotely and spatially control the shape recovery of thermal-sensitive shape memory polymers(SMPs),while its introduction(1 wt%)had little influence on the thermal and mechanical properties of the polymer matrixes.Owing to their excellent NIR photothermal performance as well as a one-step synthetic preparation,these CMPs may be promising photothermal materials for practical applications. 展开更多

In this work, we demonstrate a new kind of Pt-free counter electrode for dye-sensitized solar cells(DSCs). Polypyrrole-cobalt-carbon(PPY-Co-C) nanocomposites, with the advantages of low cost and simple preparation, show favorable catalytic activity in promoting tri-iodide reduction. The DSC composed of the PPY-Co-C nanocomposite electrode exhibits an acceptable energy conversion efficiency of 6.01%, a considerable short-circuit photocurrent of 15.33 mA cm-2, and a low charge-transfer resistance of 1.5 Ω cm2. The overall performance of PPY-Co-C is superior to the carbon counterparts and comparable with the platinum reference, rendering them efficient and promising counter electrode materials for DSCs. 展开更多

A series of P3HT:PC71BM polymer solar cells (PSCs) with different PIDTDTQx doping concentrations were fabricated to in- vestigate the effect of the PIDTDTQx as a complementary electron donor on the performance of PSCs. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the optimized ternary blend PSCs (with 2 wt% PIDTDTQx) reached 3.87%, which is 28% higher than that of the PSCs based on P3HT:PCvlBM (control cells). The short-circuit current density (J^c) was increased to 10.20 mA/cm2 compared with the control cells. The PCE improvement could be attributed to more photon harvest and charge carrier transport by appropriate doping PIDTDTQx. The energy transfer from P3HT to PIDTDTQx was demonstrated from the 650 nm emis- sion intensity decrease and the red-shifted emission peaks from 725 nm to 737 nm along with the increase of PIDTDTQx dop- ing concentrations. 展开更多
