Both the global d...DNA methylation is the most intensively studied epigenetic phenomenon, disturbances of which result in changes ingene transcription, thus exerting drastic imparts onto biological behaviors of cancer. Both the global demethylation andthe local hypermethylation have been widely reported in all types of tumors, providing both challenges and opportunitiesfor a better understanding and eventually controlling of the malignance. However, we are still in the very early stage ofinformation accumulation concerning the tumor associated changes in DNA methylation pattern. A number of excellentrecent reviews have covered this issue in depth. Therefore, this review will summarize our recent data on DNA methy-lation profiling in cancers. Perspectives for the future direction in this dynamic and exciting field will also be given.展开更多
A general transition‐metal‐free photoinduced acetalation‐pyridylation of alkenes using diethoxyacetic acid and cyanopyridine was developed under mild conditions.By employing 4CzIPN as the photocatalyst and Cs_(2)CO...A general transition‐metal‐free photoinduced acetalation‐pyridylation of alkenes using diethoxyacetic acid and cyanopyridine was developed under mild conditions.By employing 4CzIPN as the photocatalyst and Cs_(2)CO_(3) as the base,a diverse range of styrene derivatives and cyanopyridines worked well to give the desired products.The versatility of this method is highlighted by its application in the construction of various functional groups and the late‐stage modification of drugs.Importantly,some of the synthesized compounds showed good in vitro antitumor activity,indicating that this protocol is of significance and potential for antitumor drug development.展开更多

The sense NF-IL6 transfectants showed significantly increased tumorigenicity, and the stable integration of NF-IL6 cDNA into cellular DNA and its expression were demonstrated. A 47-year-old woman, who had undergone cardiac myxoma removal surgery six years ago, was readmitted due to a 2-week history of chest distress, and dyspnea with the change of body position. Both the examinations and th...A 47-year-old woman, who had undergone cardiac myxoma removal surgery six years ago, was readmitted due to a 2-week history of chest distress, and dyspnea with the change of body position. Both the examinations and the surgery confirmed a cardiac tumor relapse. Histology demonstrated that the mass resected in surgery had a pathologic change from myxoma to a low-grade malignant myofibroblastic sarcoma. The patient received heart transplantation 2 years later due to tumor recurrence, and finally died of cerebral hemorrhage.展开更多
