Methods: Survivin,caspase 3 and FHIT expressions were determined by immunohistochemistry in 32 cases of gastric cancer and 10 cases of normal gastric mucous membrane. At the same time the correlation between survivin,caspase 3 and FHIT expression and the clinical pathological type was analyzed. Results: The positive expression rate of Survivin gene in gastric cancer was 62.5%, but was 0% in normal gastric mucous membrane. The positive expression rate of caspase 3 was 80% in normal gastric mucous membrane and 43.8% in gastric cancer. The positive expression rate of FHIT was 90% in normal gastric mucous membrane and 46.8% in gastric cancer. They all have significant difference with the control but had no significant difference with clinical pathological type. The expression of survivin gene showed negative correlation with caspase 3 and FHIT. Conclusions:Survivin,caspase 3 and FHIT gene participate in the carcinogenesis and progression of gastric cancer. Survivin may inhibit the expression activity of caspase 3 and FHIT gene and prohibit cell apoptosis.展开更多
