Based on the geology and logging analysis, we redefine low-resistivity oil zones. According to their genesis, low-resis- tivity oil zones can be distinguished as five different classes: low-resistivity oil zones formed by tectonic settings, by depositional settings, by diagenetic settings, by invaded settings and those which are formed by the compounding geneses respectively. We make the following observations from this study on the definition and classification of low-resistivity oil zones: 1) A low-resistivity oil reservoir has macroscopic and microscopic unity. 2) The genesis of low-resistivity oil zones varies with the type of petroliferous basin. 3) Some low-resistivity oil zones can be forecasted based on the geological study results. 4) The results in this paper suggest that well logging information is generated from two cause mechanisms, the geophysical factors and the geological setting. Future studies on the geological background cause mechanism and the theory of well logging information will enrich the theory of logging geology and improve the ability to forecast oil zones.展开更多

The geological background of Shuangliu mine is considered a prototype, similar simulation tests are adopted to analyze the water-inrush rules under this model, and the formation of water-guide channel and water-inrush process is investigated by examining the changes in rock resistivity. This work also uses the coupled cloud image derived from numerical simulation software to verify the results of simulation test. Results show that the numerical simulation of "triangle" water-inrush mode is consistent with the similar simulation. The "triangle" seepage area, which is located at the bottom of collapse columns and is connected to aquifer, is caused by the altered seepage direction and strengthened seepage actions after the overlapping of hydraulic transverse seepage in collapse column and hydraulic vertical seepage flow in aquifer. Under "triangle"water-inrush model, water-guide channel is formed by the communication between plastic failure zone of working face baseplate and"triangular" seepage area. Accordingly, the threatening water-inrush distance between working face and collapse column increases by 20 m compared with that of theoretical calculation.展开更多

The genetic mechanism and syn-rifting process of the basin were analyzed in combination with the regional geological setting. The results reveal that the basin syn-rifted in the Eocene and early Miocene under the control of the dextral strike-slip Wan'an Fault Zone. The transtensional/ extentional stresses along this fault zone may be attributed to seafloor spreading of the South China Sea (SCS) in multiple episodes. Extensive basal faults and some small initial rifts in the early Paleogene can be related to southeastward extrusion and clockwise rotation of the Indochina Block. During the Oligocene, the nearly N-S directed spreading of the SCS derived the transtensional stresses in a roughly NW-SE orientation. The basin subsided rapidly in the middle and north to form two major subsidence centers. In the early Miocene, the SCS spread again in a nearly NW-SE direction, resulting in rapid subsidence in the southern basin continuous extending until the period ~16.3 Ma.展开更多

The results show: ① 2 ~ 3 years before the 2014 Yutian Ms7. 3 earthquake, Xinjiang was in a seismic active state with strong earthquake occurring successively, and before the 2008 Ms 7. 3 earthquake, Xinjiang was in the quiet state of moderate-small earthquakes with M3. 0 ~ 4. 0. ② Before this Yutian Ms7. 3 earthquake, the regional seismic activity showed a short-term anomaly feature, that is, seismicity of M ≥ 5. 0 earthquakes significantly increased on the Altun seismic zone and in the source area three years before the Ms7.3 earthquake, while a five year long quiescence of seismicity of M ≥4. 0 earthquakes appeared on the east of the source area in a range of about 440kin. Six months before this M7. 3 earthquake, there existed seismic gap of M3. 0 ~ 4. 0 earthquakes and near-conjugate seismic belt magnitude 3. 0 and 4. 0 in the source area. ③ The state of strong earthquake activity and the seismicity pattern of small earthquakes before this Yutian Ms7. 3 earthquake were significantly different to that before the 2008 Yutian Ms7. 3 earthquake, and this may be related to the different seismogenic environments of the two Ms7. 3 earthquakes.展开更多

After ore prospecting in two years, nine new blind ore bodies were found, among which four ore bodies contain 4218. 1 kg inferred intrinsic economic re- sources ( 333 ), and mitigate the crisis situation of mine reserves. At the same time, lots of significant geophysi- cal and geochemical anomalies were found in the peripheral, which provide a basis for further prospecting.展开更多

After continuous discoveries of high-pressure and ultra-high pressure metamorphic assemblages in the Dabie-Sulu area, the issue of the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt extending eastward to the Korean Peninsula has been paid attentions widely. The discoveries of eclogites in the Hongsoeng area, the middle-western Korean Peninsula gives rise to the debate on the tectonic affiliations of the southern massifs. Although the Rimjingang belt in the Korean peninsula has been well investigated, the relation and comparative study to the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt are lacking of detail work. In this paper,on the basis of informations and results of our previous works, some new contrastive considerations on the correlation between the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt in central-eastern China and Rimjingang belt in the Korean Peninsula have are provided.展开更多

On the basis of the analysis of research history about TLIP, this paper summarizes the re- search result during last twenty years and suggests the key research area in the future. The residual distribution range of TLIP is up to 250000 km2, and the largest residual thickness is 780 m. The eruption of basalt happened during 290-288 Ma and be- longs to LIPs magmatic event with fast eruption of magma. The lithological units of the TLIP include basalt, diabase, layered intrusive rock, breccia pipe mica-olivine pyroxenite, olivine pyroxenite, gabbro, ultramafic dyke, quartz syenite, quartz syenite porphyry and bimodal dyke. The basalt and diabase of TLIP exhibit OIB-like trace element patterns and enrichment of LILE and HFSE, and mainly belong to high TiO2 series. There is an obvious difference in isotope among the basalt from Keping and the basalt and dibase from the northern Tarim Basin. The basalt from Keping with negative eNa and high REE value derives from enriched mantle, and the diabase and basalt from the northern Tarim Basin with positive ENa and low REE value axe re- lated to depleted mantle. The crust uplifting in the Early Permian and the development of picrite and large scale dyke and for- mation of large scale V-Ti-Magnetite deposit in Wajilitag area support the view that the TLIP is related to mantle plume. The TLIP has a temporal-spatial relationship with Permian basic to ultra-basic igneous rock, which is distributed widely in Central Asia, and they represent a tectono-magmatic event with very important geodynamic setting. This paper also suggests that the deep geological process, the relation with mantle plume, mineralization, the relation with environmental change and biological evolution, and the geodynamics of the TLIP will be the key research topics in the future.展开更多
