Aiming to test the reliability of that model, 720 UCS tests with different cement-to-tailing mass ratio, solid mass concentration, fiber content, fiber length, and curing time were carried out, and a strength evaluation database was collected. The obtained results show that the optimized SSA-ELM model can accurately predict the uniaxial compressive strength of the fiber-reinforced CPB, and the model performance of SSA-ELM model is better than ANN, SVR and ELM models. Variable sensitivity analysis indicates that fiber content and fiber length have a significant effect on the UCS of fiber-reinforced CPB.展开更多

The mechanical properties of the uniaxial compression specimens cured at 95%(wet-curing) and 50%(dry-curing) relative humidities and cyclic loading-unloading specimens cured at wet-curing were analyzed. Under uniaxial compression, the peak stress loss ratio is higher for dry-curing than for wet-curing. The peak strain decreases with the increase of rubber content, and the peak strain increases with the decrease of curing humidity. Under cyclic loading-unloading, the variation trends of residual strain differences of the normal cement mortar and RCM at each cyclic level with the number of cycles are basically the same, but the failure modes are different. The analysis of the internal mesostructure by a scanning electron microscope(SEM) shows that initial damage is further enhanced by reducing curing humidity and adding rubber aggregate. The damage constitutive model based on strain equivalence principle and statistical theories was used to describe the uniaxial compression characteristics of RCM, and the law of mechanical damage evolution was predicted.展开更多

The Reynolds equation for hydrodynamic lubrication of the crank bearing was established at the Reynolds boundary condition and was then solved using the Holland method. From this the regular track of the beating axis was obtained. As the crank beating gradually wears the eccentricity ratio corresponding to the minimum oil film thickness increases gradually. The oil-bound film eventually breaks down, which allows friction and collision between the metal surfaces of the crank pin and the bearing. The rigid impact leads to excitation of high frequency vibrations at the natural frequencies of the connecting rod. The experiments show that the wear condition of the crank beating can be identified correctly through the vibration signature at the natural frequencies of the connecting rod. The degree of wear can be predicted accurately through the energy content of the high frequency bands.展开更多

Most of the currently available methods for the identification of nonlinear properties of isolator require either the measurements of all structural responses or the assumptions of the proper mathematic models for the rubber-bearings. In this paper, two algorithms are proposed to identify the nonlinear properties of rubber-bearings in base-isolated buildings using only partial measurements of structural dynamic responses. The first algorithm is applicable to the case that proper mathematical models are available for the base isolators. It is based on the extended Kalman filter for the parametric identification of nonlinear models of rubber-bearing isolators and buildings. For the general case where it is difficult to establish a proper mathematical model to describe the nonlinear behavior of a rubber-bearing isolator, another algorithm is proposed to identify the model-tYee nonlinear property of rubber-bearing isolated system. Nonlinear effect of rubber-bearing is treated as 'fictitious loading' on the linear building under severe earthquake. The algorithm is based on the sequential Kalman estimator for the structural responses and the least-squares estimation of the 'fictitious loading' to identify the nonlinear force of rubber-bearing isolator. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed two algorithms are capable of identifying the nonlinear properties of rubber-bearing isolated systems with good accuracy.展开更多
