It mainly introduces and analyzes the methods and mode of foreign language design and also integrates with the practice of foreign language teaching, the author thinks a competent foreign language teacher should not only be satisfied with inculcating ready-made knowledge, but they should also constantly foster the ability of blazing new trails and try to grasp the theory and methods of course design ,and try to carry out course design according to practice and try to give play to their teaching personality and creativity and to have a bold try and exploration and try to improve the foreign language course and foreign language teaching.展开更多

In order to deal wi...Determination of collapse load-carrying capacity of elasto-plastic material is very important in designing structure. The problem is commonly solved by elasto-plastic finite element method (FEM). In order to deal with material nonlinear problem involving strain softening problem effectively, a new numerical method-damped Newton method was proposed. The iterative schemes are discussed in detail for pure equilibrium models. In the equilibrium model, the plasticity criterion and the compatibility of the strains are verified, and the strain increment and plastic factor are treated as independent unknowns. To avoid the stiffness matrix being singularity or condition of matrix being ill, a damping factor a was introduced to adjust the value of plastic consistent parameter automatically during the iterations. According to the algorithm, the nonlinear finite element program was complied and its numerical example was calculated. The numerical results indicate that this method converges very fast for both small load steps and large load steps. Compared with those results obtained by analysis and experiment, the predicted ultimate bearing capacity from the proposed method is identical.展开更多

Normally, these approaches require estimation data to train the empirical model part of a hybrid...Hybrid modeling approaches have recently been investigated as an attractive alternative to model fermentation processes. Normally, these approaches require estimation data to train the empirical model part of a hybrid model. This may result in decreasing the generalization ability of the derived hybrid model. Therefore, a simultaneous hybrid modeling approach is presented in this paper. It transforms the training of the empirical model part into a dynamic system parameter identification problem, and thus allows training the empirical model part with only measured data. An adaptive escaping particle swarm optimization(AEPSO) algorithm with escaping and adaptive inertia weight adjustment strategies is constructed to solve the resulting parameter identification problem, and thereby accomplish the training of the empirical model part. The uniform design method is used to determine the empirical model structure. The proposed simultaneous hybrid modeling approach has been used in a lab-scale nosiheptide batch fermentation process. The results show that it is effective and leads to a more consistent model with better generalization ability when compared to existing ones. The performance of AEPSO is also demonstrated.展开更多

The...The objective of this investigation was to study the behavior of deep pile caps and the ultimate load-carrying capacity. Four 1/10 scaled models of nine-pile caps were cast and tested on vertical loads to failure. The destruction shapes of pile caps,the correlation between load and displacement,and the internal stresses were analyzed systematically. The results demonstrated that the failures of all the four models are resulted from punching shear; the internal flow of the forces in nine-pile caps can be approximated by "strut-and-tie" model. Furthermore,the failure loads of these specimens were predicted by some of the present design methods and the calculated results were compared with the experimental loads. The comparative results also indicated that the "strut-and-tie" model is a more reasonable design method for deep pile caps design.展开更多
In this paper,we introduce a novel approach to automatically regulate receptive fields in deep image parsing networks.Unlike previous work which placed much importance on obtaining better receptive fields using manual...In this paper,we introduce a novel approach to automatically regulate receptive fields in deep image parsing networks.Unlike previous work which placed much importance on obtaining better receptive fields using manually selected dilated convolutional kernels,our approach uses two affine transformation layers in the network’s backbone and operates on feature maps.Feature maps are inflated or shrunk by the new layer,thereby changing the receptive fields in the following layers.By use of end-to-end training,the whole framework is data-driven,without laborious manual intervention.The proposed method is generic across datasets and different tasks.We have conducted extensive experiments on both general image parsing tasks,and face parsing tasks as concrete examples,to demonstrate the method’s superior ability to regulate over manual designs.展开更多
