Microstructure was observed to reveal the mechanism of hydrogen-enhanced compressive properties. The experimental results indicate that hydrogen has favorable effects on the compressive properties of Ti-6Al-4V alloy at high strain rate. Compression of Ti-6Al-4V alloy first increases up to a maximum and then decreases with the increase of hydrogen content at the same discharge energy under EMF tests. The compression increases by 47.0% when 0.2% (mass fraction) hydrogen is introduced into Ti-6Al-4V alloy. The optimal hydrogen content for cold formation of Ti–6Al–4V alloy under EMF was determined. The reasons for the hydrogen-induced compressive properties were discussed.展开更多

The total fibres content ranges from 0 4%-0 95% by volume of concrete. A four point bending test is adopted on the notched prisms with the size of 100?mm×100?mm×500?mm to investigate the effect of hybrid fibres on crack arresting. The research results show that there is a positive synergy effect between large steel fibres and polypropylene fibres on the load bearing capacity in the small displacement range. But this synergy effect disappears in the large displacement range. The large and strong steel fibre is better than soft polypropylene fibre and small steel fibre in the aspect of energy absorption capacity in the large displacement range. The static usage limitation for the hybrid fibres concrete with “wide peak' or “multi peaks' load CMOD pattern should be carefully selected. The ultimate load bearing capacity and the crack width or CMOD at this load level should be jointly considered.展开更多

The effect of varying silicon, copper and iron contents was investigated using a design of experiment (DOE) approach. Semi-solid slurries were prepared using the SEED process and injected into a high pressure die casting press. The hot tearing sensitivity results were reported for different alloy variants. The microstructure evolution during the semi-solid preparation was presented along with actual die cast components. The effects of silicon, copper and iron on mechanical properties in the T7 condition were also analyzed. Beyond the benefit of reducing hot tearing, it is shown that the tensile and fatigue properties remain compatible with the automotive industry requirements.展开更多

The evolutions of the microstructure and phase of experimenta...The microstructure, hydrogen storage thermodynamics and kinetics of La5Mg95-xNix (x=5, 10, 15) ternary alloys with different Ni contents were investigated. The evolutions of the microstructure and phase of experimental alloys were characterized by X-ray diffractometry and scanning electron microscopy. The hydrogen storage kinetics and thermodynamics, and P-C-I curves were tested using a Sievert apparatus. It is found that increasing Ni content remarkably improves hydrogen storage kinetics but reduces the hydrogen storage capacity of alloys. The highest hydrogen absorption/desorption rate is observed in the La5Mg80Ni15 alloy, with the lowest hydrogen desorption activation value being 57.7 kJ/mol. By means of P-C-I curves and the van’t Hoff equation, it is determined that the thermodynamic performance of the alloy is initially improved and then degraded with increasing Ni content. The La5Mg85Ni10 alloy has the best thermodynamics properties with a hydrogenation enthalpy of -72.1 kJ/mol and hydrogenation entropy of -123.2 J/(mol·K).展开更多

The sheets were fabricated in the laboratory, with gauge of 0.45 mm, H...The correlation between Si content (0.1%-0.5%, mass fraction) and pulse laser welding performance of AI-Mn-Mg aluminum alloy sheets was studied. The sheets were fabricated in the laboratory, with gauge of 0.45 mm, H16 temper by pulse laser welding. It was found that no cracking existed in the welding pool as Si content was below 0.34%. However, when the Si content increased to 0.47%, cracking formed in the welding pool. Microstructure observations indicated that residual eutectic phases distributed at the grain boundaries were discontinuous and appeared to be small particles in lower Si content alloys; the residual eutectic phases distributed at the grain boundaries were partially continuous and appeared to be films in higher Si content alloys. These phenomena could explain why Si content adversely affected the laser welding performance.展开更多

The content of fixed ammoniumcorrelated very significantly with mica content for tropical and subtropical soils, whereas this was not thecase for soils in the temperate zone. At the end of K-exhansting experiment the fixed ammonium contentincreased in most soils studied. However, it decreased in some temperate soils. Generally, fixation of addedNH could not be found either before or after K-exhausting experiment for highly weathered soils, includingtropical soils and soils derived from granite-gneiss or Quaternary red clays in the subtropic zonet while formost soils in the Yangtze River dalta the NH fixation capacity was rather high and increased siguificantlyin the K-exhausted soils.展开更多

Chao, a favored bamboo shoot species, has been widely planted in recent years. Four stands with different historical management practices were selected for this study to understand the evolution of soil microbial ecology by determining the effects of a new mulching and heavy fertilization practice on soil quality using microbiological parameters. Compared with the traditional practice (index 1), microbial biomass carbon (MBC) and soil microbial respiration carbon (MRC) with the new management practice significantly decreased (P < 0.01 and P < 0.05,respectively) with 1-2 years of mulching (index 2) and then for continued mulching significantly increased (P < 0.05). The ratios of MBC/TOC (total organic carbon) and MRC/TOC also significantly diminished (P < 0.05) with mulching. The average well color development (AWCD) and Shannon index decreased with mulching time, and the significant decrease(P < 0.05) in Shannon index occurred from index 2 to index 3. The results from a principal components analysis (PCA)showed that the scores of the first principal component for indexes 1 and 2 were significantly larger (P < 0.05) than soils mulched 3-4 years or 5-6 years. Also, the second principal component scores for index 1 were larger than those for index 2, suggesting that the ability of soil microorganisms to utilize soil carbon was decreasing with longer use of the new management practice and causing a deterioration of soil biological properties.展开更多

High density precipitates are observed in the Zn-containing alloys and the alloy with 1.8% Zn addition also has rod-like precipitates. Tensile test results indicate that Zn has a great effect on tensile strength of 3003 Al alloy. The alloy with 1.5% Zn addition has the highest ultimate tensile strength. The electrochemical results indicate that Zn addition to 3003 Al alloy also has great impact on the corrosion potential of the 3003 A1 alloy in 0.5% NaCl solution and ethylene glycol-water solution. The corrosion potential varies with the Zn content and shifts negatively.展开更多

Liver and r...AIM:To assess the hepatic changes after induction of different periods of renal ischemia. METHODS:Rats were subjected to either sham operation or ischemia (30,45 and 60 min) followed by 60 min reperfusion. Liver and renal functional indices were measured. Hepatic glutathione (GSH) and ferric reducing antioxidant power levels and the concentration of interleukin (IL)-10 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) were evaluated. Portions of liver and kidney tissues were fixed for histological evaluation. RESULTS:Forty-five minutes renal ischemia followed by 60 min reperfusion caused significant changes in liver structure and a significant reduction in renalfunction. These rats showed a significant decrease in liver GSH,as well as a significant increase in TNF-α and IL-10 concentrations. These results demonstrated that renal ischemia caused changes in liver histology,function,oxidative stress and inflammatory status,which led to a reduction in hepatic antioxidant capacity. With 30 min ischemia,the magnitude of these changes was less than those with 45 or 60 min ischemia.CONCLUSION:A minimum of 45 min ischemia is needed to study the effects of renal injury on the liver as a remote organ.展开更多

The reinforcing phases combined closely with the matrix and no agglomeration was...Using squeeze-infiltration technique, Mg-9Al-1Zn-0.8Ce composite reinforced by graphite particles and Al2O3 short fibers was fabricated. The reinforcing phases combined closely with the matrix and no agglomeration was observed. The microstructure, hardness and wear property of the composites with the graphite content of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% were investigated, respectively. The results reveal that Ce tends to enrich around the boundaries of graphite particles and Al2O3 short fibers, and forms Al3Ce phase. When the graphite content increases to 20%, the grain size becomes small. Moreover, with increasing the graphite content, the microhardness of the composites decreases but the wear resistance increases. The graphite which works as lubricant during dry sliding process decreases the wear loss. At low load, the wear mechanism of the composite is mainly abrasive wear and oxidation wear; at high load, except that the composite with 20% graphite is still with abrasive wear and oxidation wear, the wear mechanism of other composites changes to delamination wear.展开更多

Both of the endothermic abstraction (D+OD+-→O++D2) and thermoneutral exchange (D+OD+--*D+OD+) channels were investigated from the same set of time-dependent quantum wave packets method under cen- trifugal sudden approximation. The reaction probability dependence with collision energy, the integral cross sections, and the thermal rate constant of the both channels are calculated. It is found that there is a convex structure in the reaction path of the exchange reaction. The calculated time evolution of the wave packet distribution at J=0 clearly indicates that the convex structure significantly influences the dynamics of the exchange and abstraction channels of title reaction.展开更多

The electrochemical results indicate that Zn addition to 3003 Al alloy also has great impact on the corrosion potential of the 3003 A1 alloy in 0.5% NaCl solution and ethylene glycol-water solution. The corrosion potential varies with the Zn content and shifts negatively.

文摘AIM:To assess the hepatic changes after induction of different periods of renal ischemia. METHODS:Rats were subjected to either sham operation or ischemia (30,45 and 60 min) followed by 60 min reperfusion. Liver and renal functional indices were measured. Hepatic glutathione (GSH) and ferric reducing antioxidant power levels and the concentration of interleukin (IL)-10 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) were evaluated. Portions of liver and kidney tissues were fixed for histological evaluation. RESULTS:Forty-five minutes renal ischemia followed by 60 min reperfusion caused significant changes in liver structure and a significant reduction in renalfunction. These rats showed a significant decrease in liver GSH,as well as a significant increase in TNF-α and IL-10 concentrations. These results demonstrated that renal ischemia caused changes in liver histology,function,oxidative stress and inflammatory status,which led to a reduction in hepatic antioxidant capacity. With 30 min ischemia,the magnitude of these changes was less than those with 45 or 60 min ischemia.CONCLUSION:A minimum of 45 min ischemia is needed to study the effects of renal injury on the liver as a remote organ.

文摘Using squeeze-infiltration technique, Mg-9Al-1Zn-0.8Ce composite reinforced by graphite particles and Al2O3 short fibers was fabricated. The reinforcing phases combined closely with the matrix and no agglomeration was observed. The microstructure, hardness and wear property of the composites with the graphite content of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% were investigated, respectively. The results reveal that Ce tends to enrich around the boundaries of graphite particles and Al2O3 short fibers, and forms Al3Ce phase. When the graphite content increases to 20%, the grain size becomes small. Moreover, with increasing the graphite content, the microhardness of the composites decreases but the wear resistance increases. The graphite which works as lubricant during dry sliding process decreases the wear loss. At low load, the wear mechanism of the composite is mainly abrasive wear and oxidation wear; at high load, except that the composite with 20% graphite is still with abrasive wear and oxidation wear, the wear mechanism of other composites changes to delamination wear.
文摘Two spherically symmetric non-singular black hole solutions in Moiler tetrad theory of gravitation have been obtained. Although the two solutions have the same form of metric (spherically symmetric nonsingular black hole), their energy contents are different. We use another method given by Gibbons and Hawking to calculate the energy content of these solutions. We also obtained different value of energy. Study the requirements of a satisfactory energymomentum complex given by Moiler we find that the second solution, which behaves as 1/√r, is not transformed as a four-vector under Lorentz transformation.
文摘Quantum dynamics for the D+OD+ reaction at the collision energy range of 0.0-1.0 eV was studied on an accurate ab initio potential energy surface. Both of the endothermic abstraction (D+OD+-→O++D2) and thermoneutral exchange (D+OD+--*D+OD+) channels were investigated from the same set of time-dependent quantum wave packets method under cen- trifugal sudden approximation. The reaction probability dependence with collision energy, the integral cross sections, and the thermal rate constant of the both channels are calculated. It is found that there is a convex structure in the reaction path of the exchange reaction. The calculated time evolution of the wave packet distribution at J=0 clearly indicates that the convex structure significantly influences the dynamics of the exchange and abstraction channels of title reaction.
