A method of river segmentation in SAR images based on wavelet energy and gradient is proposed in this paper. It mainly includes two algorithms: coarse segmentation and refined segmen- tation. Firstly, The river regions are coarsely segmented by the wavelet energy feature, and then refined segmented accurately by the gradient threshold which is got adaptively. The experimental results show the validity of the method, which provides a good foundation for targets detection above the river.展开更多

To investigate the characteristics of the debris flow deposition process related to the morphology and extent of the debris fan, a series of physical experiments were carried out using an experimental flume. Some useful relationships were obtained to link the flow velocity with the geometric characteristics of deposition morphology and the corresponding area or volume. Based on these, some expressions about energy dissipation process in both the transport-deposition zone and deposition zone are presented, and improved equations describing solidliquid two-phase energy transformations in the specific deposition zone are also established. These results provide a basis for further investigating the underlying mechanisms of non-homogeneous debris flows, based upon which effective disaster control measures can be undertaken.展开更多

In this paper, we demonstrate that the current-voltage characteristics can give a good unified description of the temperature, carrier density mad electric field dependence of mobility based on both the Arrhenius temperature dependence and the non-Arrhenius temperature dependence. Fu^hermore, we perform a systematic study of charge transport and electrical properties for MEH-PPV. It is shown that the boundary carrier density has an important effect on the current-voltage characteristics. Too large or too small values of boundary carrier density will lead to incorrect cur- rent-voltage characteristics. The numerically calculated carrier density is a decreasing function of the distance to the interface, and the numerically calculated electric field is an increasing function of the distance. Both the maximum of carrier density and the minimum of electric field appear near the interface.展开更多
