Southeast University is designing and building a large-scale dynamic environment simulation testing facility. It can simuhaneously and dynamically simulate temperature, relative humidity, infrared solar radiation, UV radiation, and precipitation. A transformation is needed to predict the energy and long-term hygrothermal performance of building enclosures under real service conditions using data obtained from accelerated tests.展开更多

Based on simulations, it has been found that by curtailing a maximum of 5% of the yearly energy production on a per-generator basis, distribution grid connection capacity can be doubled. The paper present the development of OE (ocean energy) field in China and outline the new technologies and best practice, resources conditions, construction targets, generation device testing and standard system. The main purpose is to improve the level of China's ocean energy development. The Chinese ocean energy test field, which was started in 2008, involved a development divided in three phases (the overall design, construction, demonstration). The methodology followed in the individual phases is described, and the standardization of testing wave and tidal current energy devices is introduced. The research revealed the development and the shortage of ocean energy technology in China.展开更多

Time to market can take unacceptable long. FPGA-based real-time simulation of a power stage with analog measured signals can reduce significantly the cost and time of testing a product. This new approach is known as HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) testing. A general power converter consists of two main parts: a power level (main circuit) and a digital controller unit, which is usually realized by using some kind of DSP. Testing the controller HW and SW is quite problematic: live tests with a completely assembled converter can be dangerous and expensive. A low-power model of the main circuit can be built under laboratory conditions, but it will have parameters (e.g. time constants and relative losses) differing from the ones of the original system. The solution is the HIL simulation of the main circuit. With this method the simulator can be completely transparent for the controller unit, unlike other computer based simulation methods The subject of this paper is to develop such a real-time simulator using FPGA. The modeled circuit is a three-phase inverter, which is widely used in power converters of renewable energy sources.展开更多

The code and applied methods have been developed and tested only for the determination of the pin power in the reactor core. Recent development of the three dimensional visualization capabilities at the author's department enables fine mesh neutron flux and power distribution presentation in the whole reactor region. The COREP code has been supplemented with additional option to enable generation of fme mesh neutron flux data in the core and reflector domain. Accuracy of the generated fine mesh results has been determined for the 2-D IAEA and typical NPP Krsko case.展开更多

The energy storage system is considered to be one of the useful devices for energy storing and recycling. The energy storage system was developed and installed on the test track of Gyeongsan LRT in Korea. This paper presents the test plan and how much energy is saved by the energy storage system through the field test. When the energy storage system is on/off, the energy saving rate is obtained.展开更多
