For CP43, the emiss... Ultrafast time_resolved fluorescence experiments have been performed with core antennas CP43 and CP47 of PS Ⅱ. Their dynamic fluorescence spectra were obtained with excitation wavelength 514.5 nm. For CP43, the emission spectrum was found to be from 640 to 780 nm with a peak at ~680 nm and the lifetime of fluorescence was 3.54 ns. For CP47, the emission spectrum was from 630 to 775 nm with a peak at ~691 nm and the fluorescence lifetime was 3.22 ns. The fluorescence emission efficiencies of Chl a in CP43 and CP47 were calculated to be approximately 38.3% and 40.6%, respectively. The energy transfer from β_Car to Chl a in CP43 and CP47 was discussed. The rates of energy transfer from β_Car to Chl a were measured to be about 9.6×10 11 s -1 and 1.3×10 12 s -1 and energy transfer efficiencies 47.5% and 66.5% respectively. The edge_edge distances between β_Car and Chl a in CP43 and CP47 were estimated to be ~0.110 nm and ~0.085 nm respectively. 展开更多

Wireless power transmission based on inductive coupling for remotely implanted micro devices has been considered in this paper. The receiving coil, integrated in microsystems and the external transmitting coil compose a loosely coupled transformer. The coupling coefficient was calculated and measured on spacing misalignments. The geometric size of transmitting coil was analyzed for the target of remotely delivering power. The received power was maximized by choosing appropriate value of frequency, tuning capacitance and the load resistance. A conventional full bridge rectifier circuit was employed to convert ac to dc voltage. The received dc power was up to 160 mW with a transmitting vohage of 5 Vrms when the receiving coil was placed at the center of the transmitting coil. This may meet the requirement of some microsystems for high power over a long time. 展开更多

The study was conducted in a plastic tunnel in which the heat storage system was installed in the stone accumulator. The system consists of a suction pipe warm air fan and perforated pipes placed in the stone's accumulator. The accumulator used a bed of stone (porphyry-type stones of dimension in the range 37 mm to 65 ram). In the accumulator, there are four sections with dimensions of 1.7 m × 11 m, each of which contains a perforated pipe for hot air distribution within the battery, and separate conduits for supplying air to the interior of the tunnel. The paper presents the results of analysis related to performance (as a result of heat and mass transfer) in cycles of charging and discharging of the accumulator. 展开更多

This paper assesses 4 years of operation of a 1.75 kW roof top solar PV system installed in a Sydney suburban house. The system consists of 10 PV panels, a DC/AC inverter, and a grid connected gross meter. Solar electricity delivered to grid is verified with the results from a computer simulation package (PVSYST) by adopting the installed component specifications, operation conditions, and weather data of the site. The results show high consistency between the values of energy delivered to the grid measured by the energy company and the energy estimated by system simulation. New system performance indicator is developed and called the optimum performance compliance ratio (PCR). It is a measure of the compliance of the output of the designed PV system with the output which would be produced by the same system with a solar tracker. This indicator provides system designers, contractors and energy providers with the actual capacity of the system that they can offer the end-users. 展开更多
