Three basic problems of the natural, full-controlled and semi-controlled splitting were reviewed in the paper. Aiming at the high difficulty semi-controlled splitting problem, the general nonlinear multi-objectives optimization mathematical model with constraints was established based on the theory of mine ventilation networks. A new algorithm, which combined the improved differential evaluation and the critical path method (CPM) based on the multivariable separate solution strategy, was put forward to search for the global optimal solution more efficiently. In each step of evolution, the feasible solutions of air quantity distribution are firstly produced by the improved differential evolu- tion algorithm, and then the optimal solutions of regulator pressure drop are obtained by the CPM. Through finite steps iterations, the optimal solution can be given. In this new algorithm, the population of feasible solutions were sorted and grouped for enhancing the global search ability and the individuals in general group were randomly initialized for keeping diversity. Meanwhile, the individual neighbor- hood in the fine group which may be closely to the optimal solutions were searched locally and slightly for achieving a balance between global searching and local searching, thus improving the convergence rate. The computer program was developed based on this method. Finally, the two ventilation networks with single-fan and multi-fans were solved. The results show that this algorithm has advantages of high effectiveness, fast convergence, good robustness and flexibility. This computer program could be used to solve lar^e-scale ~eneralized ventilation networks o^timization problem in the future.展开更多

The searching of optimal coefficient's combination of PSS (power system stabilizer) is the main goal of this article. The possibility of application of the new combined approach for the optimal excitation's settings search is presented. MC (Monte Carlo) method, in order to search and select the optimal combination of excitation system, was applied. The proposed method has been researched with a mathematical model of the power system. This model has been built using Matlab/Simulink software. This algorithm is applied to the optimization of Lennard-Jones (LJ) clusters with N=2–650, 660, and 665–680. For each case, the putative global minimum reported in the Cambridge Cluster Database (CCD) is successfully found. Furthermore, for LJ533 and LJ536, the potential energies obtained in this study are superior to the previous best results. In DLS-TPIO, a combination of the interior operation, two-phase local search method and dynamic lattice searching method is adopted. At the initial stage of the optimization, the interior operation reduces the energy of the cluster, and gradually makes the configuration ordered by moving some surface atoms with high potential energy to the interior of the cluster. Meanwhile, the two-phase local search method guides the search to the more promising region of the configuration space. In this way the success rate of the algorithm is significantly increased. At the final stage of the optimization, in order to decrease energy of the cluster further, the positions of surface atoms are further optimized by using the dynamic lattice searching method. In addition, a simple new method to identify the central atom of icosahedral configurations is also presented. DLS-TPIO has higher computing speed and success rates than some well-known unbiased optimization methods in the literature.展开更多
