The anodic layer and oxygen evolution behavior of Pb-Ag-Nd alloy during pulse current polarization and constant current polarization in 160 g/L H2SO4 solution was comparatively investigated by chronopotentiometry, SEM...The anodic layer and oxygen evolution behavior of Pb-Ag-Nd alloy during pulse current polarization and constant current polarization in 160 g/L H2SO4 solution was comparatively investigated by chronopotentiometry, SEM, XRD, EIS and Tafel techniques. The results show that the anodic layer on Pb-Ag-Nd alloy formed through pulse current polarization is more intact and presents fewer micro-holes than that formed through constant current polarization. This could be attributed to the low current density period, which works as a ‘recovery period'. During this period, the oxygen evolution reaction is less intense, which benefits the recovery of porous anodic layer. Pb-Ag-Nd anode also shows a lower anodic potential during pulse current polarization, which is in accordance with its smaller charge transfer resistance and smaller Tafel slope coefficient at high over-potential region. The lower anodic potential could be ascribed to the higher concentration of Pb O2 in the anodic layer, which promotes the formation of more reactive sites for the oxygen evolution reaction.展开更多

Magnetic field has been applied during electrodeposition for the preparation of AuPt particles. With the increase of the magnetic flux density under constant current density, the grain size decreases from - 1μm to 200nm and the activity of the AuPt catalyst increases. The magnetic field oriented vertical to the electric field has a promotion effect on increasing the catalytic ability of AuPt/carbon electrode. By pulse plating, the grain size decreases to about 100nm. By adjusting parameters of the electric field and the magnetic field, controllable in-situ preparation of AuPt catalyst with various morphology and catalytic activity could be achieved.展开更多
The application of electric current pulse(ECP) to a solidification process refers to the immersion of electrodes into the liquid metal and the employment of thermal insulators on the upper surface of metal.In order ...The application of electric current pulse(ECP) to a solidification process refers to the immersion of electrodes into the liquid metal and the employment of thermal insulators on the upper surface of metal.In order to ascertain the effects of these two factors on the structure refinement by the ECP technique,three groups of experiments were performed with different types of electrodes or various thermal insulators.By the comparison between solidification structures under different conditions,it is followed that the electrode and the thermal insulator have an obvious influence on the grain refinement under an applied ECP,and further analysis demonstrates that the thermal conditions of the liquid surface play a vital role in the modification of solidification structure.Also,the results support the viewpoint that most of the equiaxed grains originate from the liquid surface subjected to an ECP.展开更多

Good linearity between Cu (II) concentration and oxidation peak current ...On-line Cu (II) ion concentration detection in bioleaching system was achieved by anodic stripping differential pulse voltammetry (ASDPV). Good linearity between Cu (II) concentration and oxidation peak current was obtained when Cu (II) existed in 0K media in the concentration range of 1μmol/L (64μg/L) to 1 mmol/L (64 mg/L). Moreover, when 0.2 mol/L KCl was added into this media, the linear detection range could be extended from 1 mmol/L to 100 mmol/L (6.4 g/L). The reduction of Cu (II) to metallic copper was shown to proceed as two successive single-electron transfer reactions involving an intermediate chemical step where the cuprous ion (Cu+) was complexed by chloride to form the dichlorocuprous anion (CuCl-). In addition, interference effect was also investigated when Fe3+existed in the media, which was the common situation in the copper bioleaching system. The results showed no interference effect once the concentration of Fe3+was less than 100 mmol/L (5.6 g/L).展开更多
In order to search for a suitable anode material used in zinc electrowinning in place of Pb-Ag alloy,Al/Pb-PANI(polyaniline)-WC(tungsten carbide) composite inert anodes were prepared on aluminum alloy substrate by...In order to search for a suitable anode material used in zinc electrowinning in place of Pb-Ag alloy,Al/Pb-PANI(polyaniline)-WC(tungsten carbide) composite inert anodes were prepared on aluminum alloy substrate by double pulse electrodeposition(DPE) of PANI and WC particles with Pb2+ from an original plating bath.Thereafter,anodic polarization curves,cyclic voltammetry curves and Tafel polarization curves for the composite inert anodes obtained under different PANI concentrations in the original plating bath were measured,and the microstructural features were also investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results show that Al/Pb-PANI-WC composite inert anode obtained under PANI concentration of 20 g/L in the original plating bath possesses uniform microstructures and composition distributions,higher electrocatalytic activity,better reversibility of electrode reaction and corrosion resistance in a synthetic zinc electrowinning electrolyte of 50 g/L Zn2+,150 g/L H2SO4 at 35 °C.Compared with Pb-1%Ag alloy,the overpotential of oxygen evolutions for the composite inert anode are decreased by 185 mV and 166 mV,respectively,under 500 A/m2 and 1000 A/m2.展开更多

In this study, twelve indices of temperature extremes and 11 indices of p...Variations and trends in extreme climate events are more sensitive to climate change than the mean values, and so have received much attention. In this study, twelve indices of temperature extremes and 11 indices of precipita- tion extremes at 32 meteorological stations in Hengduan Mountains were examined for the period 1961-2008. The re- suits reveal statistically significant increases in the temperature of the warmest and coldest nights and in the frequen- cies of extreme warm days and nights. Decreases of the diurnal temperature range and the numbers of frost days and ice days are statistically significant. Regional averages of growing season length also display the trends consistent and significant with warming. At a large proportion of the stations, patterns of temperature extremes are consistent with warming since 1961: warming trends in minimum temperature indices are greater than those relating to maximum temperature. As the center of the Shaluli Mountain, the warming magnitudes decrease from inner to outer. Changes in precipitation extremes is low: trends are difficult to detect against the larger inter-annual and decadal-scale variability of precipitation, and only the wet day precipitation and the regional trend in consecutive dry days are significant at the 0.05 level. It can be concluded that the variation of extreme precipitation events is not obvious in the Hengduan Mountains, however, the regional trends generally decrease from the south to the north. Overall, the spatial distribution of temporal changes of all extreme climate indices in the Hengduan Mountains illustrated here reflects the climatic complexity in mountainous regions.展开更多

The chip has a 64-step gray scale control using the PWM method and two-step voltage pre-charge technology to pre-charge the OLED pixels. It consists of a digital controller,SRAM for display data memory,a DC-DC voltage converter,reference current generators,a pre-charge voltage generator,64 common drivers, and 132 segment drivers. The single chip is a typical current-drive circuit. It has been implemented in a Chartered 0.35/μm 18V HV (DDD) CMOS process with a die area of 10mm× 2mm. Test results show that the power consumption of the whole chip and all pixels with a constant driving current of 100μA while displaying the highest gray scale is 294mW with a 12V high voltage supply and a 3V low voltage supply.展开更多

LIDAR generally uses laser diode (LD) to emit the pulsed laser with high peak pow...Light detection and ranging (LIDAR) based on time of flight (TOF) method is widely used in many fields related to distance measurement. LIDAR generally uses laser diode (LD) to emit the pulsed laser with high peak power and short duration to ensure a large distance measurement range and eye safety. To achieve this goal, we propose a pulsed LD drive method producing the drive current with high peak and narrow pulse width. We analyze the key issues and related theories of the drive current generation based on this method and design an LD driver. A model of drive current generation is established and the influence of operating frequency on drive current is discussed. The LD driver is simulated by software and verified by experiments. The working frequency of the driver changes from 20 kHz to 100 kHz and the charging voltage is set at 130 V. The current produced by this driver has a duration of 8.8 ns and a peak of about 35 A, and the peak output optical power of the LD exceeds 75 W.展开更多

In this paper,nanosecond pulsed laser is introduced to selectively ablate away indium tin oxide film and metal film without destroying the underlying layers for fabricating organic light-emitting diodes.By varying den...In this paper,nanosecond pulsed laser is introduced to selectively ablate away indium tin oxide film and metal film without destroying the underlying layers for fabricating organic light-emitting diodes.By varying density of energy,pulse number and width of the laser,the influence on morphology of the laser trenches of indium tin oxide and metal films are investigated.It is presented that uniform ablation trench can be obtained with 16 laser pulses at 0.15 J/cm^2 for aluminum film and 10 laser pulses at 0.65 J/cm^2 for indium tin oxide film.It is found that the characteristics of the organic light-emitting diodes prepared with laser ablation are almost the same as those of that prepared with conventional patterning method.展开更多
