目的对照研究坦度螺酮与脑电、皮电生物反馈治疗精神分裂症稳定期焦虑的价值。方法选择2018年3月16日-2019年2月14日本院接收的140例住院精神分裂症稳定期焦虑患者为观察对象,按先后顺序分为空白对照组、对照1组、对照2组和研究组四组,... 目的对照研究坦度螺酮与脑电、皮电生物反馈治疗精神分裂症稳定期焦虑的价值。方法选择2018年3月16日-2019年2月14日本院接收的140例住院精神分裂症稳定期焦虑患者为观察对象,按先后顺序分为空白对照组、对照1组、对照2组和研究组四组,每组各35例。空白对照组行安慰剂治疗,对照1组行坦度螺酮治疗,对照2组行脑电、皮电生物反馈治疗,研究组行脑电、皮电生物反馈合并坦度螺酮治疗,治疗6周,对比四组治疗效果。结果治疗6周后,研究组患者临床有效率高于空白对照组、对照1组、对照2组,对比差异有统计意义(P<0.05)。治疗前,四组患者HAMA评分、SAS评分对比差异无统计意义(P>0.05);治疗后2周、4周、6周,研究组患者HAMA评分、SAS评分比对照组低,对比差异有统计意义(P<0.05);四组患者不良反应出现情况对比差异无统计意义(P>0.05)。结论坦度螺酮与脑电、皮电生物反馈治疗精神分裂症稳定期焦虑临床效果更优,值得推广。 展开更多

目的观察坦度螺酮与脑电、皮电生物反馈联合治疗精神分裂症稳定期焦虑的临床效果。方法选取2018年3月16日-2019年2月14日东莞市精神卫生中心精神科住院治疗的精神分裂症稳定期焦虑患者140例,采取随机数字表法分为对照组、对照1组、对照... 目的观察坦度螺酮与脑电、皮电生物反馈联合治疗精神分裂症稳定期焦虑的临床效果。方法选取2018年3月16日-2019年2月14日东莞市精神卫生中心精神科住院治疗的精神分裂症稳定期焦虑患者140例,采取随机数字表法分为对照组、对照1组、对照2组、观察组,每组35例。对照组使用安慰剂治疗,对照1组使用坦度螺酮治疗,对照2组使用脑电、皮电生物反馈治疗,观察组使用脑电、皮电生物反馈联合坦度螺酮治疗。于基线及治疗后第2、4、6周末分别采用汉密顿焦虑量表(HAMA)、焦虑自评量表(SAS)和治疗中需处理的不良反应症状量表(TESS)评定4组疗效及不良反应。结果观察组治疗后2、4、6周末HAMA、SAS评分低于对照组、对照1组、对照2组(P<0.05);观察组治疗总有效率为97.14%,高于对照组的74.29%、对照1组的82.86%、对照2组的80.00%(P<0.05);观察组治疗后2、4、6周末TESS评分与对照1组、对照2组相比差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论坦度螺酮与脑电、皮电生物反馈联合治疗精神分裂症稳定期焦虑效果显著,能有效改善患者焦虑症状,且治疗安全性高,具有积极的临床意义。 展开更多

Objective Measuring the serum concentrations of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortisol in epileptic seizures during sleep to investigate their link to the EEG changes. Methods Pre-surgical evaluation was performed by videoEEG monitoring using 24 channel recording. Thirty six epilepsy patients could be attributed to two groups: 28 patients had spontaneous seizures, and the other 8 patients whose seizures were induced by bemegride. Another 11 persons with confirmed psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES) served as control group. Blood samples were obtained at five points: wake (08:00 a.m.), sleep (00:00 a.m.), and shortly before, during and after an epileptic seizure. The serum ACTH and cortisol were measured and analyzed by chemiluminescent immunoassay. Results The levels of ACTH and cortisol in serum underwent significant changes: declining below the average sleep-level shortly before seizures, increasing during seizures, and far above the average wake-level after seizures (P 〈 0.001). Such changes did not occur in the control group (P 〉 0.05). The ACTH and cortisol levels had no significant difference between spontaneous group and bemegride-induced group (P 〉 0.05). Conclusion The serum concentrations of ACTH and cortisol during sleep seizures are linked with pre-ictal and ictal EEG changes in epilepsy patients. 展开更多

The orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) is particularly important for the neural representation of reward value. Previous studies indicated that electroencephalogram (EEG) activity in the OFC was involved in drug administration and withdrawal. The present study investigated EEG activity in the OFC in rats during the development of food reward and craving. Two environments were used separately for control and food-related EEG recordings. In the food-related environment rats were first trained to eat chocolate peanuts; then they either had no access to this food, but could see and smell it (craving trials), or had free access to this food (reward trials). The EEG in the left OFC was recorded during these trials. We showed that, in the food-related environment the EEG activity peaking in the delta band (2-4 Hz) was significantly correlated with the stimulus, increasing during food reward and decreasing during food craving when compared with that in the control environment. Our data suggests that EEG activity in the OFC can be altered by food reward; moreover, delta rhythm in this region could be used as an index monitoring changed signal underlying this reward. 展开更多

[Method] Microelectrode technique was used to record extracellularly spontaneous electrical activities of neurons in primordial hippocampus of B.bufo gargarizans in postembryonic phase. [Result] Single, consecutive single, burst, consecutive burst and anomalous spontaneous firing were recorded in primordial hippocampus, in which four kinds of spontaneous firings were recorded in forepart of postembryonic development except the anomalous spontaneous firing, and the burst spontaneous firing and consecutive burst spontaneous firing were predominant. The five kinds of spontaneous firings mentioned were recorded in anaphase of postembryonic development and the single and burst spontaneous firing were predominant.Following with the development of primordial hippocampus, the amplitudes of action potential of single firing and consecutive firing enhanced gradually, and it reaches the maximum in the metamorphosis phase; the differences of the frequencies of consecutive single firing and consecutive burst firing were not significant. [Conclusion] Following with the development of primordial hippocampus, the neuronal electrical activities showed diversification, the developmental degree of the primordial hippocampus in the metamorphosis phase was close to the subadult and adult. 展开更多

Objective: To assess functional relationship by calculating inter- and intra-hemispheric electroencephalography (EEG) coherence at rest and during a working memory task of patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Methods: The sample consisted of 69 subjects: 35 patients (n = 17 males, n = 18 females; 52-71 years old) and 34 normal controls (n = 17 males, n = 17 females; 51 -63 years old). Mini-mental state examination (MMSE) of two groups revealed that the scores of MCI patients did not differ significantly from those of normal controls (P〉0.05). In EEG recording, subjects were performed at rest and during working memory task. EEG signals from F3-F4, C3-C4, P3-P4, T5-T6 and O1-O2 electrode pairs are resulted from the inter-hemispheric action, and EEG signals from F3-C3, F4-C4, C3-P3, C4-P4, P3-O1, P4-O2, T5-C3, T6-C4, T5-P3 and T6-P4 electrode pairs are resulted from the intra-hemispheric action for delta (1.0-3.5 Hz), theta (4.0-7.5 Hz), alpha-1 (8.0-10.0 Hz), alpha-2 (10.5-13.0 Hz), beta-1 (13.5-18.0 Hz) and beta-2 (18.5-30.0 Hz) frequency bands. The influence of inter- and intra-hemispheric coherence on EEG activity with eyes closed was examined using fast Fourier transformation from the 16 sampled channels. Results: During working memory tasks, the inter- and intra-hemispheric EEG coherences in all bands were significantly higher in the MCI group in comparison with those in the control group (P〈0.05). However, there was no significant difference in inter- and intra-hemispheric EEG coherences between two groups at rest. Conclusion: Experimental results comprise evidence that MCI patients have higher degree of functional connectivity between hemispheres and in hemispheres during working condition, It suggests that MCI may be associated with compensatory processes during working memory tasks between hemispheres and in hemispheres. Moreover, failure of normal cortical connections may exist in MCI patients. 展开更多

Thirty-five patients (12 males, 23 females; 52~64 y) and 33 sex- and age-matched controls (12 males, 21 females; 56~65 y) were recruited in the present study. EEG signals from C3-C4, P3-P4, T5-T6and O1-O2 electrode pairs resulted from the inter-hemispheric action, and EEG signals from C3-P3, C4-P4, P3-O1, P4-O2, C3-O1,C4-O2, T5-O 1 and T6-O2 electrode pairs resulted from the intra-hemispheric action. The influence of inter- and intra-hemispheric coherence on EEG activity with eyes closed was examined, using fast Fourier transformation from the 16 sampled channels. The frequencies of photic stimulation were fixed at 5, 10 and 15 Hz, respectively. The general decrease of AD patients in inter- and intra-hemispheric EEG coherence was more significant than that of the normal controls at the resting EEG, with most striking decrease observed in the alpha-1 (8.0-9.0 Hz) and alpha-2 (9.5-12.5 Hz) bands. During photic stimulation, inter- and intra-hemispheric EEG coherences of the AD patients having lower values in the alpha (9.5-10.5 Hz) band than those of the control group. It suggests that under stimulated and non-stimulated conditions, AD patients had impaired inter- and intra-hemispheric functional connections, indicating failure of brain activation in alpha-related frequency. 展开更多

In this study, the inhibitory effect of jujuboside A (JuA) on a penicillin sodium (Na-PCN) induced hyperactivity model was investigated. Cortical EEG (electroencephalogram) and the concentration of hippocampal Glutamate (Glu) were monitored simultaneously in vivo as indicators of rat’s excitatory state. Power spectral density (PSD) and gravity frequency of PSD were calculated. JuA (0.05 g/L and 0.1 g/L) inhibited the EEG excitation effect caused by Na-PCN by increasing the power of δ1 and δ2 bands (P<0.01 vs model) and lowering the gravity frequency of PSD (P<0.01 vs model). JuA also remarkably reduced the Glu elevation induced by Na-PCN (P<0.05 vs model). Diazepam also depressed Glu concentration and lowered the gravity frequency, but it showed a different EEG pattern in increased β2-activity (P<0.01 vs model). EEG excitation caused by Na-PCN correlated with Glu elevation during the first hour. Neurophysiological inhibitory effects of JuA and diazepam were more persistent than their Glu inhibitoty effects. 展开更多

目的 探讨高压氧治疗重型颅脑损伤的疗效及机制。方法 重型颅脑损伤患者 35例为治疗组 ,2 0例为对照组 ,观察高压氧治疗前后临床 (GCS)、脑电地形图 (BEAM)、血内皮素 (ET)、经颅多普勒超声 (TCD)及预后 (GOS)的变化。结果 治疗组患... 目的 探讨高压氧治疗重型颅脑损伤的疗效及机制。方法 重型颅脑损伤患者 35例为治疗组 ,2 0例为对照组 ,观察高压氧治疗前后临床 (GCS)、脑电地形图 (BEAM)、血内皮素 (ET)、经颅多普勒超声 (TCD)及预后 (GOS)的变化。结果 治疗组患者经高压氧治疗后临床 (GCS)、脑电地形图及预后均明显改善 ,与对照组相比有统计学意义。高压氧治疗 1个疗程后 ,治疗组血内皮素由 91 2 4± 12 18ng/L下降到 6 8 88± 14 37ng/L(P <0 0 1) ;经颅多普勒超声示大脑中动脉Vm也由 6 4 2± 4 8cm/s下降到 51 6± 4 2cm/s(P <0 0 1) ;同时 ,大脑中动脉VsPI也明显下降。统计学有显著性意义 (P <0 0 1)。结论 高压氧治疗能够明显改善重型颅脑损伤患者的临床、脑电地形图及预后 ,并且通过降低急性期血内皮素、改善大脑中动脉血流速度及血管阻力来改善重型颅脑损伤后脑血管痉挛及脑缺血缺氧。同时 ,降低颅内压是高压氧治疗重度颅脑损伤的重要机制之一。 展开更多

Objective:To investigate the relationship between the temperature and the microvascular blood flow of the cerebral cortex, and the influence of electro-acupuncture (EA) on the cortical microcirculation. Methods: High temperature spots on the anterior ectosylvian and low temperature spots on the posterior suprasylvian on the cortical surface of 20 cats were identified using cortical infrared thermography (CIT); the blood flow in the microcirculation on these spots was measured with laser-Doppler flowmetry. EA was given at Zusanli (ST 36) and changes in the blood flow in the cerebral cortex microcirculation were detected. Results: 1) The mean temperatures on the high (34.83±0.24°C) and low (32.28±0.27°C) temperature spots were significantly different (P<0.001); this was indicative of a temperature difference on the cortical surface; 2) The average blood flow in the microcirculation of the high (266.8±19.2 PU) and low (140.8±9.9 PU) temperature spots was significantly different (P<0.001). 3) On the cortical high temperature spots, the mean blood flow in the microcirculation significantly increased from 266.8±86.8 PU before EA, to 422.5±47.4 PU following 5 minutes of EA (58.35%; P<0.01), and 431.8±52.8 PU 5 minutes after ceasing EA (61.84%; P<0.01). 4) On the low temperature spots, there were no significant differences in blood flow following 5 minutes of EA (146.3±11.5 PU), and 5 minutes after ceasing EA (140.5±11.6 PU), when compared with that before acupuncture (140.8±9.9 PU; P>0.9). Conclusion: The high temperature spots of the cortex are active functional regions of neurons with higher blood flow and a stronger response to EA. EA induces a significant increase in blood flow in the high temperature spots of the cortex. 展开更多

Epilepsy is a chronic nervous disease with increasing incidence worldwide,while the accurate localization of epileptic focus and the corresponding treatment are still challenging due to the lack of effective tools to monitor and modulate the related brain neurological activities.In this work,stretchable micro electrocorticogram(mECoG)electrodes are developed and used to investigate penicillininduced epilepsy in rats.The electrodes possess excellent stretchability,conformality,anti-interference ability and sufficient resolution to successfully monitor electroencephalogram(EEG)signals,which is superior to traditional rigid polyimide-based electrodes.Characteristic epileptic spike waves are detected and analyzed to study the epileptic focus and electrical stimulus effects during epileptic seizures.It is found that the spike waves occur first in the visual cortex which is likely to be the epileptic focus.Epileptic spike wave frequency quickly increases to 1.07 Hz where it reaches a plateau and remains stable.There is no dominant brain hemisphere that would show early warning of epileptic seizures.Electrical stimuli for various times are applied after administering penicillin.It is found that 15 min of electrical stimulus has the best restraining effect on epileptic seizures.The mECoG electrodes developed in this study show potentials for applications in stretchable biomedical devices. 展开更多

Objective: To observe the effects of electroacupuncture on hippocampal and cortical apoptosis in a mouse model of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods: Mouse models established by repeated cerebral ischemia-reperfusion, followed by electroacupuncture at Shenshu, Geshu, and Baihui points. The control group mice were intragastrically administered Hydergine. On day 1 and 7 post-treatment, hippocampal and cortical apoptosis was detected by terminal-deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEL), and apoptosis images in the hippocampal CA1 zone and cortical area were analyzed. Results: In the model group, apoptotic cells were detected one day after treatment and some cellular fibers were disarrayed. By day 7 post-treatment, there was an increase in the number of apoptotic cells in the hippocampal CA1 region. In addition, there were apoptotic cells in the cortical area, the cortical layers were thinner with localized neuronal loss and sieve-like lymphocyte infiltration, as well as glial cell proliferation and visible infarct lesions. However, in the Hydergine and electroacupuncture groups, there was a small number of apoptotic cells. At 7 days post-treatment in the model group, field number, numerical density on area, and surface density were increased. However, in the Hydergine and electroacupuncture groups these parameters were decreased (P<0.01), with a significant difference between the two treatment groups (P<0.01). Conclusion: Electroacupuncture treatment inhibited apoptosis and provided neuroprotection. 展开更多
