The flotation behavior of Xixia andalusite was studied with different collectors.The tests were conducted with a pure andalusite sample in micro-flotation cell and then with an ore sample in a mechanical flotation cell.The surface charge was measured on pure andalusite sample and the isoelectric point(IEP) was found to be pH 5.2.Andalusite is floated with an amine collector above IEP where mineral surface is negatively charged.In contrast,an alkyl sulfonate collector(sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate) is effective in the pH range where andalusite surface is positively charged.Furthermore,andalusite is floated with oleate in neutral and mildly alkaline pH values.55.3% Al2O3 is produced with 75.6% andalusite recovery when using the alkyl benzene sulfonate collector.Starch is found to be an effective depressant for gangue minerals in alkyl benzene sulfonate flotation.Moreover,slimes are found to have an adverse effect on the flotation of andalusite.Therefore,pretreatment by desliming and pre-float(to remove carbonaceous species) prior to andalusite flotation is necessary. 展开更多

The reverse flotation separation performance and mechanism of hematite and cellophane in the presence of RFP-138, a newly synthesized dephosphorization collector, were studied. Reverse flotation tests on monominerals and artificially mixed minerals of hematite and collophanite show that, this anionic collector performs excellently in reducing the phosphorus content in hematite. It can decrease the content of P in artificially mixed minerals from 1.05% to 0.12% and achieve the TFe recovery rate of 91.30%. The chemical behavior of solution and infrared spectra of RFP-138 were investigated to explore the selective collecting mechanism of RFP-138 to these two minerals. 展开更多

A new process for vanadium recovery from stone coal by roasting-flotation was investigated based on the mineralogy. The process comprised four key steps: decarburization, preferential grinding, desliming and flotation. In the decarburization stage, roasting at 550 ℃ effectively avoided the negative effect of the carbonaceous materials in raw ore and generation of free CaO from calcite decomposition during roasting. Through preferential grinding, the high acid-consuming minerals were enriched in the middle fractions, while mica was enriched in the fine and coarse fractions. Through flotation, the final concentrate can be obtained with V2O5 grade of 1.07% and recovery of 83.30%. Moreover, the vanadium leaching rate of the final concentrate increased 13.53% compared to that of the feed. The results reveal that the decarburization by roasting at 550 ℃ is feasible and has little negative impact on mica flotation, and vanadium recovery from stone coal is conducive to reducing handling quantity, acid consumption and production cost. 展开更多

Involvement of cAMP in ABA Signal Transduction in Tobacco Suspension Cells 被引量:2

Abscisic acid (ABA) plays an important role in plant growth and developmental processes. Although some ABA signal molecules, such as cADPR, Ca2+, etc., have been reported, there. was no evidence proving the involvement of cAMP in A-B-A, signal transduction. In this present study, the constructed gene ( rd29A-GUS) was transformed into Nicotiana tabacum, and calli was induced from the transgenic plant. The suspension cells obtained from the callus grew well and uniformly. Treatment of the suspension cells with ABA led to an increase in GUS activity, indicating that these transgenic suspension cells are useful for the study of ABA signaling. Addition of nicotinamide (cADPR inhibitor) or U-73122 (phospholiphase C inhibitor) could only partially inhibit the increase of GUS activity elicited by ABA. The inhibitory effect of nicotinamide was enhanced by application of K252a (inhibitor of protein kinase). Treatment of the suspension cells with 8-Br-cAMP, a membrane-permeable analogue of cAMP, could partially replace the effect of ABA. Furthermore, intracellular addition of IBMX (phosphodiesterase inhibitor) mimicked die effect of exogenous cAMP on the deduction of expression of rd29A promoter. These results suggested that cAMP was an important messenger in ABA signal transduction in tobacco suspension cell. 展开更多

The effect of electrolytic conditions on the desulfurization ratio was also studied. The electrochemical-reduction processed coal was examined by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and wet chemical analysis. The results show that electrochemical reduction converts hydrophobic pyrite in Nantong coal into hydrophilic FeS and S2- and leads to an increase in the concentration of hydroxyl groups and aliphatic moieties and a corresponding decrease in carboxyl and carbonyl groups, which enhances the flotation desulfurization of the coal. 展开更多

The result shows that 1 ) the △rGm function of the reaction of pyrite into FeS and the modifying reaction decreasing the oxygenous functions on coal surface is smaller than zero in a spontaneous reaction, and greater than zero in a non-spontaneous reaction; 2) the △rGm value can be adjusted by pH and the dosage of electrolyte to make it be greaterthan zero , which is favorable for the modifying reaction and useful for desulfurization of coal. The aim of this research is to study the floatation deinking abilities of black mold enzyme and chemicals in newsprint paper application. In this experiment, the properties of deinked pulp from three different additives--chemicals, black mold enzyme, and chemicals together with black mold enzyme, are studied. The first part of the experiment was to find the optimal amount of chemicals and the optimal pH through the use of sodium hydroxide and surfactant. As a result, 0.2% of sodium hydroxide and 0.4% of surfactant on oven dried weight at pH 9 was found to be the optimal condition for the deinked pulp to yield the lowest ERIC (effective residual concentration) and the highest brightness. The second part of the experiment was to find the optimal amount of black mold enzyme used in the deinking process. As a result, the optimal condition for deinked pulp to retain the lowest ERIC and the highest brightness was 100 ppm of black mold enzyme and 10 minutes of enzyme reaction time. The third part of experiment was to study the de-inking ability of black mold enzyme and chemicals. Consequently, with 30 min of chemicals reaction time and 60 min of black mold reaction time, the deinked pulp retained low ERIC but higher brightness. 展开更多

This study was performed to investigate the effects of the cyclonic separation mechanism on the removal of magnesium from phosphate ore. An analysis of the particle-bubble collision mechanism in a cyclonic force field was used to design two different pulp circulation systems for a cyclonic-static micro-bubble flotation column (FCSMC). Experiments comparing the two conditions were then conducted. Size analysis of the feed and separated products was conducted with a BXF cyclone size analyzer. The results show that about 34.60% of the total MgO content in the feed exists in the -10 μm fraction. This demonstrates that magnesium removal from phosphate ore has the characteristics of a micro-fine particle flotation problem. Under conditions of cyclonic circulation the MgO level of the concentrate is 1.74g, which is lower than that obtained from the column operated in direct-flow circulation by 0.34%, These results indicate that the cyclonic circulation mechanism of the FCSMC can promote removal of micro-fine particles containing magnesium. This is attributed to the function of surface flotation and to the reduction of the lower separation limit under conditions of cyclonic circulation. 展开更多
