The afferent nerves of two points Guanyuanshu and Pangguanshu and the bladder converge at lumbosacral spinal ganglions and lumbosacral spinal cord. Acupuncture transmits information upwards by peripheral afferent nerves. The effect of acupuncture depended mainly on supraspinal micturition centers.
