Here, we prepared cobalt phosphonate-derived N-doped cobalt phosphate/carbon nanotube hybrids(Co Pi C-N/CNTs) by hydrothermal treatment of N-containing cobalt phosphonate and oxidized carbon nanotubes(o-CNT) followed by high-temperature calcination under nitrogen atmosphere. The resultant Co Pi C-N/CNT exhibits a superior electrocatalytic performance for the ORR in alkaline media, which is equal to the commercial Pt/C catalyst in the aspect of half-wave potential, onset potential and diffuse limiting current density. Furthermore, the excellent tolerance to methanol and strong durability outperform those of commercial Pt/C. It is found that cobalt phosphonate-derived N-doped cobalt phosphate and the in-situ formed graphitic carbons play key roles on the activity enhancement. Besides, introducing a suitable amount of CNTs enhances the electronic conductivity and further contributes to the improved ORR performance.展开更多

Methods A total of 639 postmenopausal women with osteoporosis or osteopenia were included and randomly received treatment of low dose (70 mg per two weeks) or standard dose (70 mg weekly) of alendronate for one year. The six tag single nucleotide polymorphisms of GGPPS gene were identified. Bone mineral density (BMD), serum cross-linked C-telopeptide of type I collagen (β-CTX), and total alkaline phosphatase (ALP) were measured before and after treatment. GGPPS gene polymorphisms and the changes of BMD and bone turnover markers after treatment were analyzed. Results rs10925503 polymorphism of GGPPS gene was correlated to serumβ-CTX levels at baseline, and patients with TT genotype had significantly higher serum β-CTX level than those with TC or CC genotype (all P〈0.05). No correlation was found between polymorphisms of GGPPS gene and serum total ALP levels, as well as BMD at baseline. After 12 months of treatment, lumbar spine and hip BMD increased and serum bone turnover markers decreased significantly (P〈0.01), and without obvious differences between the low dose and standard dose groups (all P〉0.05). However, GGPPS gene polymorphisms were uncorrelated to percentage changes of BMD, serum total ALP, and β-CTX levels (all P〉0.05). Conclusion GGPPS gene polymorphisms are correlated to osteoclasts activity, but all tag single nucleotide polymorphisms of GGPPS gene have no influence on the skeletal response to alendronate treatment.展开更多

The aim of this study was to evaluate zoledronic acid and pamidronic acid on treating ostealgia of malignant tumor with bone metastases and serum calcium, phosphorus and alkaline phosphorus movement. Methods: One Hundred cancer patients with bone metastases were diagnosed according to pathological and imaging methods. After zoledronic acid or pamidronic acid intravenous infusion one and two months, ostealgia degree, serum calcium, serum phosphorus and alkaline phosphorus were observed before bisphosphonates treatment, one and two months after treatment, respectively. Results: Ostealgia degree did not change significantly after diphosphonates treatment from one to two months (P 〉 0.05). The linear correlation between serum calcium and serum phosphorus on bone metastases cancer patients before therapy was dismissed after bisphosphonates treatment one month and did not recover in two months. The incidence of hypo-calcium after diphosphonate treatment one month (54%) and two months (56%) were significantly increased than that before treatment (36%) (X2 = 6.55, P = 0.011; X2 = 8.05, P = 0.005). Serum calcium and serum phosphorus were both decreased after treatment one month (t = 4.39, P = 0.000; t = 2.50, P = 0.014) and two months (t = 4.32, P = 0.000; t = 2.49, P = 0.010). There had no difference between zoledronic acid and pamidronic acid on treating of ostealgia and serum calcium and phosphorus changing. Conclusion: Zoledronic acid and pamidronic acid can relief ostealgia of cancer patients with bone metastases and induce hypo-calcium, break the linear relationship between calcium and phosphorus. There have no difference between zoledronic acid and pamidronic acid on treating ostealgia and inducing hypo-calcium and hypo-phosphorus.展开更多
