In recent years, the sustainable development of automatic manual transmissions (AMTs) control in vehicles is conspicuous. The control applications have grown fast and steadily due to the tremendous progress in power electronics components and the control software that enhance the requirements for delivering higher vehicles performance. AMTs control strategies achieve a reduction in the driveline dynamic oscillations behavior during gear shifting and clutch starting up processes. AMTs future expectations are an increase of torque capacity, more speed ratios and the development of advanced and efficient electronic control systems. This paper concerns with the progressing view of AMTs in the past, today and future, gives an overview of the potential dynamic problems concerned with AMTs and some control strategies used to solve those problems. 展开更多

The existence of linear quadratic optimal control of ship automatic steering instruments is studied. Firstly, the sufficient conditions for the quadratic integrability of the solutions of linear second order time-variant differential equations are developed. Secondly, the optimal control form of the ship automatic steering instrument is obtained by using the dynamic programming method, which guarantees a minimal ship sway range, during long-distance navigation, by using as little energy as possible. Finally, based on the above mentioned sufficient conditions, the conditions for the realization of optimal control are obtained, which provides a foundation for choosing the weighted coefficients for optimal control in engineering. 展开更多

XY table automated assembly machines ensure time saving and quality improving in the electronics industry. Recently, due to the need of higher operation speeds and lighter machines in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly, a challenging problem has arisen which is the table positioning vibration. The high speed with the machine flexibility, make the positioning vibration inevitable although the inner control. The positioning vibration is to be reduced otherwise the machine becomes useless. Firstly, the machine is modeled, the positioning vibration is formulated, and then analyzed. Secondly, using the analysis, three direct control methods are identified to decrease the positioning vibration, they are based on the kinematics, dynamics, and operation of the machine. Thirdly, the methods are examined numerically to evaluate their efficiency. Lastly, the identified methods are discussed to conclude on their application. The results are a real contribution in the vibration control of XY table automated assembly machines, which is classified as industrial knowhow. 展开更多

By analyzing causes, damages and popular solutions for gnawing rail phenomenon of Rail-Mounted Gantry (shorted for RMG), this article puts forward a kind of automatic correcting control system, the system can change between two transducer connection forms, and as a result, can prevent or decrease gnawing rail problem to a great extent. We present principles of correcting obliquity, sideward displacement of gantry frame and principles of malfunction diagnosis and some important schematic diagrams. The most significant feature of our system is that we can change transducers' connection form to respective or cross driving mode according to the extent of obliquity and sideward displacement of gantry frame, which make full use of both modes' advantages. As a result, the system not only can minish gnawing rail phenomenon, diagnose causes of gnawing rail and give an corresponding alarm, but also, in cross connection driving mode, has an unique capacity of preventing gnawing rail phenomenon utilizing its own characteristics under cross connection mode and gantry frame's rigidity. 展开更多
