Mindfulness may be one of the intra-individual factors that influence the improvement of core self-evaluation. This paper reviews related studies and finds that mindfulness has a positive effect on both core self-appraisal and its specific traits and can be improved through mindfulness training, and explains the mechanism of action of mindfulness affecting core self-appraisal from the perspectives of meta-cognitive theory, de-automation mechanism and attribution theory. At present, domestic and international research on the relationship between positive thinking and core self-appraisal is still limited, and future research should focus on unifying the definitions of positive thinking and core self-appraisal, thoroughly investigating the mechanism of positive thinking affecting core self-appraisal, and further exploring the intervention methods and research scope of positive thinking on core self-appraisal.展开更多
