The results are as follows: ① The mean group size of the ibex in Tomur Nature Reserve is 8.43 and the population density is 269.76/100 km^2; ② The ibex prefer areas with steep slope (between 30° -45°), broken substrates and cliffs nearby ( 〈 100 m). The results were as follows: (1) Out of five valleys, the ibex was distributed in the Qiong-Tailan, Keqik-Tailan, and Muzart Valleys: (2) Ibexes were not observed in the Tomur Valley and Kuzbayi Valley in our surveys, but interview investigations indicated that they may be found here as well. Our results indicated that the nature reserve as a whole is in the distribution range of ibex and it plays an important role in protecting ibex and the alpine biodiversity. However, the uneven distribution pattern can be due to human activities. Therefore, the management of the reserve needs to be improved in the future.展开更多

[Method] Tomato seedlings were grafted with Guozhenl (T1) and Solanum torvum (T2) as the ...[Objective] This study aimed to study the resistance of grafted tomato with Guozhen 1 as stock against root knot nematodes. [Method] Tomato seedlings were grafted with Guozhenl (T1) and Solanum torvum (T2) as the rootstock, respectively. Self-rooted tomato seedlings were treated as the control (CK). The resistance of tomato against root knot nematodes was compared among the three treatments. [Result] Compared with those in the T2 and CK groups, the yield of tomato in the T1 group was increased by 17 436.75 and 31 753.65 kg/hm2 respectively, the plant height was increased by 10.55 and 14.54 cm respectively (P〈0.05), and the stem diameter was increased by 0.56 and 1.13 cm respectively (P〈0.05). The disease indexes of root knot nematodiasis in the three treatments were 0.55, 10.42 and 45.31, respectively, and there were significant differences among them (P〈0.05). [Conclusion] This study will provide a theoretical basis for the control of root knot nematodes in tomato by grafting.展开更多

In 19 patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and symptoms of congetive heart failure, left ventricular (LV) systolic performance and diastolic velocity profiles were assessed by two- dimensional echocardiogra...In 19 patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and symptoms of congetive heart failure, left ventricular (LV) systolic performance and diastolic velocity profiles were assessed by two- dimensional echocardiography and pulsed wave Doppler at rest and during handgrip exercise before and ninety minutes after administration of captopril (mean dose 25 +12mg; range 12. 5─50mg). Although heart rate and blood pressure increased similarly during handgrip exercise before and after captopril treatment, both were lower with handgrip exercise during captopril treatment. The results from this study indicated that acute angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition with captopril reduces preload and afterload and ameliorates handgrip exercise-induced LV systolic and diastolic filling dysfunction in patients with congestive heart failure secondary to idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy.展开更多

The three-dimensional implicit finite volume method (FVM) is applied to solve Reynolds ...The surface wave generated by flow around a ship hull moving near free surface of water is simulated numerically in this study. The three-dimensional implicit finite volume method (FVM) is applied to solve Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equation. The realizable k-e turbulence model has been implemented to capture turbulent flow around the ship hull in the free surface zone. The volume of fluid (VOF) method coupled with the Stokes wave theory has been used to determine the free surface effect of water. By using is a six degrees of freedom model, the ship hull's movement is numerically solved with the Stokes wave together. Under the action of Stokes waves on the sea, the interface between the air and water waves at the same regular pattem and so does the pressure and the vertical velocity. The ship hull moves in the same way as the wave. The amplitude of the ship hull's heave is less than the wave height because of the viscosity damping. This method could provide an important reference for the study of ships' movement, wave and hydrodynamics.展开更多

T...We report an experimental generation of polarization-entangled photon pairs in a cold atomic ensemble. A single Stokes photon and one spin-wave excitation are simultaneously created via spontaneous Raman scattering. The spin-wave excitation is then converted into an anti-Stokes photon via an electromagnetic-induced-transparency reading process. The measured cross-correlation functions between the Stokes and anti-Stokes photons for two orthogonal polarizations are -75 and 74, respectively, at a generation rate of the photon pair of -60/s. Based on such correlations, we obtain polarization-entangled photon pairs, whose Bell parameter is S = 2.77 4- 0.01, violating Bell-CHSH inequality by -77 standard deviations. The presented polarization-entangled photon source has high entanglement degree and fast generation rate, which will promise us to apply it in future quantum repeater.展开更多
