The role of the different interactions in the Hamiltonian is explored. When only the nearest-neighbor interaction and the single-ion anisotropy are included, our results indicate that there are compensation points at finite temperatures. When the next-nearest-neighbor interaction exceeds a minimum value that depends on the other parameters in the Hamiltonian, the compensation point disappears. The next-nearest-neighbor interaction has the effect of changing the compensation temperature.展开更多

Our numerical results show that the Rashba SO interaction originating from the inversion asymmetry in the heterostructure splits the ground state energy of the polaron. The electron area/density and vector dependence of the ratio of the SO interaction to the total ground state energy or other energy composition are obvious. One can see that even without any external magnetic field, the ground state energy can be split by the Rashba SO interaction, and this split is not a single but a complex one. Since the presents of the phonons, whose energy gives negative contribution to the polaron's, the spin-splitting states of the polaron are more stable than electron's.展开更多

It is found that four energy gaps and corresponding four frequencie in middle of energy gaps exist in the magnon band along Kx direction perpendicular to the superlattice plane. The spin quantum numbers and the interlayer exchange couplings all affect the four frequencies in middle of the energy gaps. When all interlayer exchange couplings are same, the effect of spin quantum numbers on the frequency wg1 in middle of the energy gap Δw12 is complicated, and the frequency wg1 depends on the match of spin quantum numbers in each layer. Meanwhile, the frequencies wg2, wg3, and wg4 in middle of other energy gaps increase monotonously with increasing spin quantum numbers. We discuss the effects of the halo neutrons on the three observables of the elastic scattering system, such as differential cross section dσ/ dΩ, analyzing power Ay and spin rotation Q. The results of the three observables of the elastic scattering of p-^14Be system are compared with those of p-^12C and p-^16O systems at the same energy as E1ab = 200 MeV. We have found that in the small angular region the Ay and Q, as well as dσ/dΩ, are quite sensitive to the nucleon density distributions on the surface of the target nucleus and offer some unique behaviors of halo nuclei.展开更多

The electromagnetic form factors of these S11 resonances are found to be similar to those of the nucleon in shape, while the charge form factor of neutral N(1650) is nearly zero. The relative peak height of the S11 charge form factors is controlled by the mixing angle common to both resonance wave functions. As in most quark models, there is a systematic overestimate of A1/2 in both N(1535) and N(1650) cases at the photon point. A sizeable S1/2 for all cases is produced as suggested by experiments.展开更多

It is shown that this model with integer-spin can exhibit a flrst-order quantum phase transition between different disordered phases, and more intriguingly, possesses a hidden supersymmetry at the critical point. However, for half-integer spin we predict another flrst-order quantum phase transition between two different long-range-ordered phases with a vanishing energy gap, which is induced by the destructive topological quantum interference between the intanton and anti-instanton tunneling paths and accompanies spontaneously breaking of supersymmetry at the same critical point. We also show that, when the total spin-value varies from half-integer to integer this model can exhibit an abrupt variation of Berry phase from π to zero.展开更多
