Research on automatic inspection system for defects on precise optical surface based on machine vision 被引量:1

In manufacture of precise optical products, it is important to inspect and classify the potential defects existing on the products’ surfaces after precise machining in order to obtain high quality in both functionality and aesthetics. The existing methods for detecting and classifying defects all are low accuracy or efficiency or high cost in inspection process. In this paper, a new inspection system based on machine vision has been introduced, which uses automatic focusing and image mosaic technologies to rapidly acquire distinct surface image, and employs Case-Based Reasoning(CBR)method in defects classification. A modificatory fuzzy similarity algorithm in CBR has been adopted for more quick and robust need of pattern recognition in practice inspection. Experiments show that the system can inspect surface diameter of 500mm in half an hour with resolving power of 0.8μm diameter according to digs or 0.5μm transverse width according to scratches. The proposed inspection principles and methods not only have meet manufacturing requirements of precise optical products, but also have great potential applications in other fields of precise surface inspection. 展开更多

In radar systems of automatic detection, an estimate of background clutter power is used to set the detection threshold. An interference saturated environment is frequently encountered in these systems (multiple target situations). Therefore, the detection of signals in such an environment becomes one of the most important problems to be solved. The double-threshold algorithm is one of the more interesting detectors used in these situations. While the first threshold operation ensures that the calculation of the detection (second) threshold is based on a set of samples which is free of strong interferers and is therefore much more representative of the noise level, the second threshold is used to declare the presence or the absence of the radar target. The object of the present paper is to analyze the performance of such type of CFAR schemes when the radar receiver contains a noncoherent integrator amongst its basic elements. It is found that the processor detectabil ity loss is very low and the performance degradation, caused by interferers is quite small even if the number of outlying targets is large, given that the first threshold is properly chosen. 展开更多

A great number of pipelines in China are in unsatisfactory condition and faced with problems of corrosion and cracking,but there are very few approaches for underwater pipeline detection.Pipeline detection autonomous underwater vehicle(PDAUV) is hereby designed to solve these problems when working with advanced optical,acoustical and electrical sensors for underwater pipeline detection.PDAUV is a test bed that not only examines the logical rationality of the program,effectiveness of the hardware architecture,accuracy of the software interface protocol as well as the reliability and stability of the control system but also verifies the effectiveness of the control system in tank experiments and sea trials.The motion control system of PDAUV,including both the hardware and software architectures,is introduced in this work.The software module and information flow of the motion control system of PDAUV and a novel neural network-based control(NNC) are also covered.Besides,a real-time identification method based on neural network is used to realize system identification.The tank experiments and sea trials are carried out to verify the feasibility and capability of PDAUV control system to complete underwater pipeline detection task. 展开更多

Greater complexity and interconnectivity across systems embracing electrical power technologies has meant that cyber-security issues have attracted significant attention. In this paper a simulation environment for intrusion detection system in IEC 61850 standard-based substation automation system is provided to test simulated attacks on IEDs (intelligent electronic devices). Intrusion detection is the process of detecting malicious attacker, so it is an effective and mature security mechanism to protect electrical facility. However, it is not harnessed when securing IEC 61850 automated substation. To prove the detection capability of the system testing environment was developed to analyze and test attacks simulated with different test cases. It shows that the simulation environment works accordingly to various network traffic scenarios and eventually proves the functionality of intrusion detection system to be later deployed in the real IEC 61850 based substation automation system site. 展开更多

Frame Detection Based on Cyclic Autocorrelation and Constant False Alarm Rate in Burst Communication Systems

It locates the information bits in the received data stream at receivers. To realize frame detection in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and frequency offset, a constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detector is proposed through exploitation of cyclic autocorrelation feature implied in the preamble. The frame detection can be achieved prior to bit timing recovery. The threshold setting is independent of the signal level and noise level by utilizing CFAR method. Mathematical expressions is derived in AWGN channel by considering the probability of false alarm and probability of detection, separately. Given the probability of false alarm, the mathematical relationship between the frame detection performance and EJNo of received signals is established. Gaussian Mixture Statistics Model Based on Automatic Inspection System Used in ITS

But most of the ITS used in Chinese major cities need the human to perform the supervision task. As a result, it consumes too much human resources, and also can not achieve the satisfied supervision performance. Thus, in this paper, we will propose an automatic inspection system based on the Gaussian mixture statistics model to alleviate this kind of problem. The proposed method will utilize a Gaussian Mixture model to model the background, and then use the EM algorithm to update the model's coefficients frame by frame to make the model adapt to the changing environment. After successful modeling, we can extract out the foreground blocks from background blocks, and finally trigger the automatic alarming system by calculating the number of foreground blocks. From the experiment results, our proposed method can achieve considerable good results. 展开更多
