A smooth chip and two micro-pin-finned chips were tested. The chip is mounted on the base of a rectangular horizontal duct located at the bottom of 250 mm high natural circulation loop.FC-72 is used as a coolant. The test conditions are set that the operation pressure of experimental system is 1. 013× 105 Pa, the flow rate of FC-72 is 150 g/min and the subcoolings are 10 K, 25 K and 35 k, respectively. Effect of the subcooling on nucleate boiling and critical heat flux(CHF) were investigated. The results show that subcoolingis found to significantly affect CHF for all chips and micro-pin-finned chips sharply enhanced the boiling heat transfer, CHF of micro-pin-finned chips are 2.5~3 times as large as that of smooth chip at the same subcooling.展开更多

Due to this type of injection velocity, the flow becomes three-dimensional. Analytical expressions for the velocity, temperature, skin friction and rate of heat transfer were obtained. The important characteristics of the problem, namely the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer are discussed in detail with the help of graphs.展开更多

At first, to simulate ambient condition was designed thermostatic chamber where was monitoring temperature course on main parts of cooling device (energy converter, air cooler and heat pipes) at various position of cooling device. It was found, if the cooling device is in tilt position the cooling performance is better. But if the tilt angel of gravity assisted heat pipe is higher the heat transfer is lower. Article describes manufacturing process and thermal performance measuring method of wick heat pipes. This experiment testify that the wick heat pipe is able operate at tilt angle position than gravity assisted heat pipe and application of wick heat pipes into cooling device will improve his cooling performance.展开更多

A computational code based on the SIMPLE-C algorithm is used for the solution of the system of the mass, momentum, and energy transfer governing equations. Simulations are performed for a complete range of heater size, for Rayleigh numbers based on the height of the cavity ranging from 10~3to 10~6, and for height-to-width aspect ratios of the cavity spanning from 0.25 to 4. It is found that the heat transfer rate increases with increasing the heater size and the Rayleigh number, while it decreases with increasing the aspect ratio of the cavity. Dimensionless heat transfer correlations are also proposed.展开更多

The convergence result holds for the cases where convection or reaction is not present in convection- or reaction-dominated problems. A novel technique of analysis is developed by using the superconvergence of the scalar displacement variable instead of the quasi-orthogonality for the stress and displacement variables, and without marking the oscillation dependent on discrete solutions and data. We show that AMFEM is a contraction of the error of the stress and displacement variables plus some quantity. Numerical experiments confirm the theoretical results.展开更多
