A new method of virtual ship assembly modeling which integrates ship three-dimensional design and ship construction planning was described in this paper. A workflow model of simulation modeling based on the virtual ship assembly process was also established; furthermore, a method of information transformation between the ship three-dimensional design and ship construction plan was formulated. To meet the requirements of information sharing between different systems in the ship virtual assembly, a simulation database was created by using the software engineering design method and the relational data model. With the application of this database, the information of ship three-dimensional design, construction planning, and virtual assembly can be integrated into one system. Subsequently, this new method was applied as a tool to simulate the virtual assembly of a ship, and the results guarantee its rationality and reliability. 展开更多

The precision controlling technology is a key step for the modern ship construction, with the precision controlling of the ship-hull curvature as one of bottlenecks in shipbuilding, where the initial is to present a compensation value for the ship-hull plate precisely. The compensation value of the curvature plate is composed of two parts: the construction compensation, which results in the process of heating construction of curvature plate, and the assembling compensation, which results in welding ribbed stiffeners onto the curvature plate. Based on the developed computation system for the local contraction value, this paper presents a method to establish the experimented samples for the assembling compensation by means of numerical experiments, and another method to establish the practical mathematical model for the construction compensation of curvature plate. Furthermore, it introduces the experimental measuring method for the assembling compensation of the curvature plate, based on which the related database system has been developed. Numerical examples are analyzed to demonstrate the process to establish mathematical model for the assembling compensation values. 展开更多

Optimizing selection of bridge raft based on fuzzy matter-element model and combination weighting

It' s a necessary selection to support the maneuver across Yangtze River by floating bridge constructed by portable steel bridge and civilian ships. It is a comprehensive index for the scheme of bridge raft, containing a variety of technical factors and uncertainties. The optimization is the selection in the constructing time, quantity of equipments and man power. Based on the calculation result of bridge rafts, an evaluating system is established, consisting of index of spacing between interior bays, raft length, truss numbers, operation difficulty and maximal bending stress. A fuzzy matter element model of optimizing selection of bridge rafts was built up by combining quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis. The method of combination weighting was used to calculate the value of weights index to reduce the subjective randomness. The sequence of schemes and the optimization resuh were gained finally based on euclid approach degree. The application result shows that it is simple and practical. 展开更多

Line heating method is widely used to manufacture curved surfaces in ship building. The main factors governing the quality of the manufactured products are the moving velocity of the heating source, heating strength, and heating ways. In this study, the temperature distributions of the heated plate were investigated with the condition that the line heating process was automatic. The temperature variations were also investigated with the changes of those three variables. The numerical results showed that the peak temperature decreased as the moving velocity of the heating source increased. It also revealed that the peak temperatures changed linearly with the changes of the heating source. 展开更多
