In this model, firstly data samples are collected from some color patches by the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) method; then a classifier based on the Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller (CMAC) is constructed which is used to recognize color pattern of each pixel in a microscopic halftone image. The principle of color separation and the algorithm model are introduced and the experiments show the effectiveness of the CMAC-based classifier as opposed to the BP network.展开更多

This unit, comprised of cellular associations between different chromatophore types, is relatively conserved across the fish, amphibian, and reptilian species capable of physiological color change and numerous attempts have been made to understand the nature of the four major chro- matophore types (melanophores, erythrophores, xanthophores, and iridophores) and their bio- chemical regulation. In this review, we attempt to describe the current state of knowledge regard- ing what classifies a pigment cell as a dynamic chromatophore, the unique characteristics of each chromatophore type, and how different hormones, neurotransmitters, or other signals direct pig- ment reorganization in a variety of vertebrate taxa.展开更多

In this letter, using molecular dynamics simulations, we demonstrate that a partially clamped singlelayer graphene can serve as a thermal modulator. The mismatch in phonon dispersion between the unclamped and clamped graphene sections results in phonon interface scattering, and the strength of interface scattering is tunable by controlling the clamp-graphene distance via applying the external pressure. Owing to the ultra-thin structure of graphene and its highly sensitive phonon dispersion to external physical interaction, the modulation efficiency--which is defined as the ratio of the highest to lowest heat flux-can reach as high as 150% at a moderate pressure of 50 GPa. This modulation efficiency can be further enhanced by arranging a number of clamps in series along the direction of the heat flux.展开更多
