Based on the 4-channel neural signal regeneration system which is realized by using discrete devices and successfully used for in-vivo experiments on rats and rabbits, a single channel neural signal regeneration integrated circuit (IC)is designed and realized in CSMC ' s 0. 6 μm CMOS ( complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor transistor ) technology. The IC consists of a neural signal detection circuit with an adjustable gain, a buffer, and a function electrical stimulation (FES) circuit. The neural signal regenerating IC occupies a die area of 1.42 mm × 1.34 mm. Under a dual supply voltage of ±2. 5 V, the DC power consumption is less than 10 mW. The on-wafer measurement results are as follows: the output resistor is 118 ml), the 3 dB bandwidth is greater than 30 kHz, and the gain can be variable from 50 to 90 dB. The circuit is used for in-vivo experiments on the rat' s sciatic nerve as well as on the spinal cord with the cuff type electrode array and the twin-needle electrode. The neural signal is successfully regenerated both on a rat' s sciatic nerve bundle and on the spinal cord. 展开更多

Three photolithographic masks are utilized in the fabrication process. SEM images show that the microprobe is 1.2mm long, 100μm wide,and 30μm thick,with recording sites spaced 200μm apart for good signal isolation. For the individual recording sites, the characteristics of impedance versus frequency are shown by in vitro testing. The impedance declines from 14MΩ to 1.9kΩ as the frequency changes from 0 to 10MHz. A compatible PCB (print circuit board) aids in the less troublesome implantation and stabilization of the microprobe. 展开更多

A neuronal signal detecting circuit and a neuronal signal stimulating circuit designed for a monolithic integrated MEA(micro-electrode array) system are described. As a basic cell of the circuits, an OPA( operational amplifier) is designed with low power, low noise, small size and high gain. The detecting circuit has a chip area of 290 μm × 400 μm, a power dissipation of 2.02 mW, an equivalent input noise of 17.72 nV/ Hz, a gain of 60. 5 dB, and an output voltage from - 2. 48 to + 2. 5 V. The stimulating circuit has a chip area of 130 μm × 290 μm, a power dissipation of 740 μW, and an output voltage from - 2. 5 to 2. 04 V. The parameters show that two circuits are suitable for a monolithic integrated MEA system. The detecting circuit and MEA have been fabricated. Based on single-factor experiments, optimal extraction conditions were concluded as per response surface methodology, as fol ows: freezing tempera-ture at -38.5 ℃, the ratio of material and liquid at 1 g:6.7 ml, and drying tempera-ture at 66.8 ℃, where the yield rate of crude oil reached 13.71%. 展开更多

The technique to improve the performance of W/TiN stacked gate MOS capacitor with 3nm gate oxide is reported by optimizing the sputtering process of a refractory metal gate electrode and adopting a proper anneal temperature to eliminate the damages.Specific methods involved in the optimization of sputtering process include:selecting a proper TiN thickness to reduce stresses;using a smaller sputtering rate to suppress the damages to gate dielectric and adopting a higher N 2/Ar ratio during the TiN sputtering process to further nitride the gate dielectric.With these measures,excellent C V curves are obtained and surface state density ( N ss ) is successfully reduced to below 8×10 10 cm -2 ,which is comparable to the polysilicon gate MOS capacitor. 展开更多

A process of purification of coal-based coke powder as anode the treatment of coke powder with dilute hydrofluoric acid solution, for Li-ion batteries was attempted. The process started with followed by united-acid-leaching using sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. The effects of altering the hydrofluoric acid addition, hydrofluoric acid concentration, contact time, temperature and acid type were investigated. A minimum ash content of 0.35% was obtained when proper conditions were applied. The electrochemical performance of purified coke powder shows greatly improved electrochemical performance. The as-purified coke powder presented an initial reversible capacity of 257.4 mAh/g and a retention rate of 95% after 50 cycles. The proposed purification process paves a way to prepare a promising anode material with good performance with low cost of coke powder for Li-ion batteries. 展开更多

The catalyst was synthesized by stainless steel wire mesh as support and then treated by anodic oxidation technology to develop a porous membrane on the support. During the anodic oxidation process, various electrolytes were used to investigate the formation of porous membrane. And the catalytic performance of the catalysts was tested by using toluene and acetone combustion as model reaction. The temperatures of complete toluene and acetone conversion were decreased to 180℃ and 240 ℃, respectively. The morphologies of the stainless steel wire mesh supports and catalysts were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR). 展开更多

The effects of annealing treatments(ATs)on the microstructure of Zr-Sn-Nb alloy strips were studied.Based on the characteristics of strips for nuclear fuel assemblies,punching experiments were carried out and the formability of zirconium alloy strips was quantitatively evaluated.The results indicate that the proportions of small-angle grain boundaries of the zirconium alloy under conditions of annealing treatment at 580°C(ATⅠ)and annealing treatment at 620°C(ATⅡ)are 14.3%and 23.2%,respectively,while that of the as-received material is 12.4%.And the forming limit margin fields of the zirconium alloy under ATⅠcan reach 0.43%,while the values of the as-received material and the ATⅡare-0.35%and-2.8%,respectively.The annealing process affects the evolution process of the strip recrystallization texture and the grain size.Moreover,the total texture and pole density are closely related to the degree of anisotropy of the strip.Besides,the small-angle grain boundary affects the strain path and crack expansion of the necking unit during the strip punching process,while the grain size affects the hardening exponent of the material. 展开更多

The interaction mechanism of collector DLZ in the flotation process of chalcopyrite and pyrite was investigated through flotation experiments,zeta potential measurements and infrared spectrum analysis.Flotation test results indicate that DLZ is the selective collector of chalcopyrite.Especially,the recovery of chalcopyrite is higher than 90% in neutral and weak alkaline systems,while the recovery of pyrite is less than 10%.When using CaO as pH regulator,at pH=7-11,the floatability of pyrite is depressed and the recovery is less than 5%.Zeta potential analysis shows that the zeta potential of chalcopyrite decreases more obviously than that of pyrite after interaction with DLZ,confirming that collector DLZ shows selectivity to chalcopyrite and pyrite.And FTIR results reveal that the flotation selectivity of collector DLZ is due to chemical absorption onto chalcopyrite surface and only physical absorption onto pyrite surface. 展开更多

A highly ordered porous alumina template with pores of 45 nm in diameter was synthesized by a two-step electrochemical anodizing process. The influence of pore-enlargement treatment on the porous structure and tribological properties of the film was investigated, and ultrasonic impregnation technology was applied on it to form self-lubricating surface. The structure of the self-lubricating film and its tribological properties were investigated in detail. It can be concluded that the optimum time of pore-enlargement treatment is 20 min. The diameter of the pores and the surface porosity of the film are about 70 nm and 30%, respectively, while the film maintains the property of its high hardness. Under the same friction condition, the frictional coefficient of the self-lubricating film is 0. 18, much lower than that of the anodic aluminum oxide template, which is 0.52. In comparison with the lubricating surface of non-porous dense anodic aluminum oxide template, the lubricating surface fabricated by the ultrasonic impregnation method on the porous anodic aluminum oxide template keeps longer period with low friction coefficient. The stretch forming and the deep-drawing processes were carried out at 300 and 673 K to determine the safe forming and fracture limits of IN625 alloy.The experimentally obtained strain-based fracture forming limit diagram(FFLD)was transformed into a stress-based(σ-FFLD)and effective plastic strain(EPS)vs triaxiality(η)plot to remove the excess dependency of fracture limits over the strains.For the prediction of fracture limits,seven different damage models were calibrated.The Oh model displayed the best ability to predict the fracture locus with the least absolute error.Though the experimentally obtained fracture limits have only been used for the numerical analysis,none of the considered damage models predicted the fracture strains over the entire considered range of stress triaxiality(0.33<η<0.66).The deep drawing process window helped to determine wrinkling,safe and fracture zones while drawing the cylindrical cups under different temperature and lubricating conditions.Further,the highest drawing ratio of 2 was achieved at 673 K under the lubricating condition.All the numerically predicted results of both stretch forming and deep drawing processes using the Hill 1948 anisotropic yielding function were found to be good within the acceptable range of error. 展开更多

Anodic oxide films of titanium alloy Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al were sealed in calcium acetate solution. The morphology and composition of the sealed films were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The results show that the sealing process makes the anodic oxide films more uniform. Elemental calcium is presented through the whole depth of the anodic oxide films. The roughness of the anodic oxide films is reduced after the sealing process. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization were used to study the corrosion behavior of the anodic oxide films. It is revealed that the sealing process improves the corrosion resistance of the anodic oxide film of titanium alloy Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al. 展开更多

Development of the friction stir welding (FSW) has provided an alternative improved way of producing aluminium joints in a faster and reliable manner. The quality of a weld joint is stalwartly influenced by process parameter used during welding. An approach to develop a mathematical model was studied for predicting and optimizing the process parameters of dissimilar aluminum alloy (AA6351 T6-AA5083 Hlll)joints by incorporating the FSW process parameters such as tool pin profile, tool rotational speed welding speed and axial force. The effects of the FSW process parameters on the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of friction welded dissimilar joints were discussed. Optimization was carried out to maximize the UTS using response surface methodology (RSM) and the identified optimum FSW welding parameters were reported. 展开更多

The effect of rolling processing on the microstructure,electrochemical property and anti-corrosion property of Al-Mg-Sn-Bi-Ga-In alloy anode in alkaline solution(80℃,Na2SnO3+5 mol/L NaOH)was analyzed by the chronopotentiometry (E-T curves),hydrogen collection tests and modern microstructure analysis.The results show that when the rolling temperature is 370℃,the electrochemical activity of Al anode decreases gradually with the increase of pass deformation in rolling,while the anti-corrosion property is improved in the beginning and then declined rapidly.When the pass deformation of rolling is 40%,the Al anode has good electrochemical activity as good as the anti-corrosion property and with the increase of rolling temperature,both electrochemical activity and anti-corrosion property of Al anode increase first and then decrease.When the rolling temperature is 420 ℃,the aluminum alloy anode has the most negative electrode potential of about-1.521 V(vs Hg/HgO)and the lowest hydrogen evolution rate of 0.171 6 mL/(min·cm2).The optimum comprehensive performance of Al alloy anode is obtained. 展开更多
