When the non-orthogonal spreading codes are adopted,Multiple Access Interference (MAI) will exist at both the relay nodes and the base node, causing diversity gain to diminish. To mitigate MAI and exploit full advantages of cooperation, the Probabilistic Data Association (PDA) is developed at the relay nodes and the base node. Simulation results demonstrate that some performance gains can be obtained by the PDA detector over the Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) detector at high Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and conversely at low SNR.展开更多

We demonstrate how model information, enriched with data at various LODs (levels of development), can evolve simultaneously with design and construction using different representation of a window object embedded in a wall as lifeeyele phase exemplars at different levels of granularity. The conceptual standpoint is informed by the need for exploring a methodological approach which extends beyond current limitations of current modelling platforms in enhancing the information content of BIM models. Therefore, this work demonstrates that BIM objects can be augmented with construction specification parameters leveraging product libraries.展开更多

Consequently, the ability to forecast the future status of mobility nodes plays a key role in QOS routing. We propose a random mobility model based on discretetime Markov chain, called ODM. ODM provides a mathematical framework for calculating some parameters to show the future status of mobility nodes, for instance, the state transition probability matrix of nodes, the probability that an edge is valid, the average number of valid-edges and the probability of a request packet found a valid route. Furthermore, ODM can account for obstacle environment. The state transition probability matrix of nodes can quantify the impact of obstacles. Several theorems are given and proved by using the ODM. Simulation results show that the calculated value can forecast the future status of mobility nodes.展开更多

A smooth technology based on the non-parametric kernel estimator is adapted to obtain the time-dependent probabilistic density function of the feeder-head load data. In order to describe possible operating change directions of the operating point, the original hyper-cone-like(HCL) model is constructed to consider the probabilistic distribution function(PDF) extracted from feeder-head load data to replace the simple Normal Distribution model and the uncertain generator outputs. To realize the fast TTC calculation of the current operating point in random conditions, a sub-hyper-cone-like(SHCL) model in full power injections space is proposed, which is a similarity transformation of the original one.展开更多

Under the criterion of maximizing the adjustment coefficient, the authors obtain the closed form expressions of the optimal strategy and the maximal adjustment coefficient, and derive the explicit expression of the ruin probability or its lower bound when the claim sizes are exponentially distributed. Some numerical examples are presented, which show the impact of model parameters on the optimal values. It can also be seen that the optimal strategy to maximize the adjustment coefficient is sometimes equivalent to those which minimize the ruin probability.展开更多
