An efficient,economical,and phosgene-free approach was developed for the preparation of l,4-dihydro-2H-3,l-benzoxazin-2-one from 2-aminobenzyl alcohol.In terms of its key features,this reaction uses the cheap and recyclable non-metal selenium as a catalyst instead of the noble metal palladium;carbon monoxide as a carbonylation agent instead of virulent phosgene or one of its derivatives;and oxygen as an oxidant.The selenium-catalyzed oxidative carbonylation reaction of2-aminobenzyl alcohol proceeded efficiently in a single pot in the presence of triethylamine to afford l,4-dihydro-2H-3,l-benzoxazin-2-one in 87%yield.Furthermore,the selenium catalyst was readily recovered and recycled,affording a product yield of 80%after five cycles. 展开更多

The pultrusion of the polybenzoxazine resin matrix Z-pin is studied, because the Z-pin technology is an efficient reinforcement method for composites. Based on the curing characteristics acquired by differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) analysis, the suitable mould temperature for pultrusion is researched with the visual inspection and the Z-pin short beam shear test. The pull-out test is designed to evaluate the post oven temperature that can affect the combination between Z-pins and laminates. And then, the appropriate temperature for the post oven is obtained. Finally, micro photos are used to inspect the defects in Z-pins. The results show that when the resin is heated to 70°C, Z-pin pultrusion demands for viscosity are satisfied, and the shelf-life is about 4 h. With the mould temperature increasing to 140°C, the Z-pin short beam shear strength rises correspondingly and the cross section profile is the best. When the post oven temperature declines, the combination between Z-pins and laminates becomes stronger. However, pores appear in Z-pins unless the oven temperature increases to 200°C. Therefore, the optimum post oven temperature should be set at 200°C. 展开更多

Using novolac phenolic resin, aniline and formaldehyde as raw materials, benzoxazine-phenolic copolymers with different percentages of benzoxazine rings were prepared. FT-IR was adopted to characterize the molecular structure of the novolac-type phenolic resin and the benzoxazine-phenolic copolymer BP31. In order to understand the curing process of the copolymers, the curing behavior and curing kinetic characteristics were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and the catalytical effect of phenolic hydroxyl on the curing behavior of copolymers was investigated. To investigate the thermal properties of this resin, the thermal degradation behaviors of the cured samples were studied by thermal gravimetric (TG) method, and glass-transition temperatures (Tg) of the cured copolymers were also evaluated by DSC. The dynamic Ozawa method was adopted to determine the kinetic parameters of the curing process as well. The activation energy is 78.8 kJ/mol and the reaction rate constant is in the range from 40.0 to 5.2 (K/min)" according to reaction temperatures. The Ozawa exponent decreases from 2.4 to 0.7 with the increase of reaction temperature, and curing mechanism is expounded briefly according to the results. TG result shows that the highest char yield of copolymers is 50.3%. The highest Tg of copolymers is 489 K, which is much higher than that of pure benzoxazine resin. 展开更多

Palladium‐catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylation(AAA)of vinyl benzoxazinanones has become an important strategy for the synthesis of chiral nitrogen‐containing heterocycle compounds.However,the asymmetric synthesis of linear‐selective products has rarely been reported.The simultaneous control of regio‐,E/Z‐and enantioselectivities constitutes a major challenge and inhibits the advancement of this chemistry.Herein,we present a palladium‐catalyzed AAA of vinyl benzoxazinanones withα‐thiocyanato ketones,affording various chiral thiocyanates characterized with high linear‐,E‐and stereoselectivities.The reaction has a broad substrate scope and the chiral thiocyanates can be transformed to useful heterocycles.Experimental and computational studies suggest an inner‐sphere mechanism for AAA process,which results from the acidic and coordination effect of the nucleophilic substrates with palladium catalyst. 展开更多

As benzoxazin-4-ones and quinazolines linked to indole nucleus acting as a good pharmacophore, the synthesis of these compounds has significant meaning. The key intermediates 2-(2', 5'-disubstituted-indol-2'-yl)-4H-3, 1-benzoxazin-4-ones (3) were synthesized from cyclocondensation of indole-2-carbonyl chlorides (2) and anthranilic acid. Compound (3) on reaction with thiosemicarbazide and o-phenylene diamine afforded the compound (4) and (6) respectively. Compound (4) subjected to intramolecular cyclization under thermal conditions above its melting point afforded the compound (5). Similarly compound (3) on fusion with o- phenylene diamine gave compound (7). Structures of these compounds were confirmed by their spectral studies. The compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activity and the results were reported. 展开更多
