There are two problems being resolved. The first is that the principle founders of the small towns in medieval England were the feudal landlords,not the burgesses represented by the traders and artisans .The second is that most of the small towns were rthe so-called "market towns" with rather small population, and as for their economic patterns,they did not have relationship with the long-distance trade, but mainly with the countryside around. 展开更多
