基于语料库的媒介批评话语分析——奥运后英媒对中国国家形象的建构

将语料库语言学与批判话语分析相结合,以英国主流纸媒在奥运后涉华报道为对象,建立约379万字的语料库,对高频词指向及议程设置、关键词指向报道事件及S+V+O(China)+C类联接进行剖析,批判性探讨英媒针对中国国家形象报道时的特征、立场及议程设置。研究显示:英媒涉华报道主要集中在经济及政治领域,涉及文化方面较少;英媒对中国国家形象的报道稍带负面性;相较于早期西方主流媒体对中国的报道,中国在国际范围内的国际形象已经得到相应提升,但从国家层面直接进行形象宣传的方式效果并不明显。

对中国海外能源投资开发报道的批评话语分析——以英媒为例

近年来,中国海外能源的投资与开发引起了西方传统能源大国的极大关注。本文基于批评话语分析思想,对英国主流媒体有关中国海外能源投资开的发新闻报道中的词汇分类、及物性、转换、消息来源、话语转述方式等进行数据统计和分析。研究发现,在不同层面的语言使用中,英媒对中国海外能源投资开发均表现出明显的消极态度,并建构了中国的负面形象。本文据此分析原因并提出建议。

Research on Interactive English Speech Recognition Algorithm in Multimedia Cooperative Teaching

Multi-media overcomes the defects of traditional teaching means so foreign language teaching rapidly develops with such technology. It becomes a bottleneck to restrict intelligence learning software development. To solve the problem, this paper discuss basic knowledge in speech recognition and studies targeted corpus according to English pronunciation habit of Chinese people. Integrated with oral English learners＇ requirements with Chinese as native language, this paper applies DTW model-based speech recognition technology for Viterbi decoding speech, then it recognizes and scores through posterior probability. After experiment verification, English pronunciation recognition model in this paper is verified to be reasonable and credible and it can offer learners＇ timely, accurate and objective evaluation and feedback direction to correct pronunciation errors to improve oral English learning efficiency.

Study of the combination of English and American Literature teaching reform and Multimedia applications

A Study on Media Culture＇s Negative Influence on Children

The link between media culture and its real world effect has been a hot topic for many years. Many people believe that media have an obviously bad effect on children. More than 1000 studies conducted in the past 40 years show that excessive exposure to media violence causes the violent behavior in real life. Some other researches prove that media contain heavy messages that promote unhealthy habits or antisocial behaviors. This might be true. However, people often overstate the effects of media on children. Media are not the only elements that can lead to children＇s violence, antisocial behavior and bad habits. Other factors, like society, parents, communities, can also influence their behavior. In fact, if we can control the exposure to media in moderation, our children can benefit a lot from media culture.

Students＇ Attitude and Their Level of the ICT Use as Learning English Media

This study aims to reveal the students＇ attitude towards the use of Information and Communication Technology （ICT） as learning English Media, to describe the level of their ability to use ICT, and to portray their difficulties to apply Internet at universities. This study used quantitative and qualitative （mixed） method which consisted of two data collection techniques： questionnaire and interview. Respondents total 153 students who responded to the questionnaire and participants interviewed were four students from two private universities in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. The findings show that students have positive attitude towards ICT use as media for learning English. The data analysis strengthens the results which indicate that Intemet as part oflCT functions helps students to elicit useful information. Of the 99.4% participants respond to the questionnaire which stated strongly agree or agree, its mean score is M = 4.69, and its standard deviation is SD = 0.50. The level of students＇ ability to apply ICT is good. Moreover, interview data indicates that students face two difficulties to apply ICT such as Intemet connection problems and ICT illiteracy. The former is regarding the Intemet facility given by the university. The latter deals with the students＇ incompetence in applying ICT because they have no Intemet use experience.

Analysis of using network resources to improve the effect of college English reading and writing teaching

From analyzing the current situations of formative assessment of ethnic minority students＇ college English in China and abroad, this paper gives the specific problems, the significance, and the research values of constructing the research. It tries to construct the formative assessment mode of ethnic minority class＇s college English on the basis of multimedia teaching, systematically and comprehensively investigates and analyzes the formative assessment＇s impacts upon the fostering of ethnic minority students＇ autonomous learning abilities, the impacts upon language learning and teaching, and the impacts upon the ethnic minority students＇ academic achievements and learning motives. The aim of this paper is to comprehensively enhance ethnic minority students＇ college English teaching qualities and the system of tests and assessments. The project based on relative theories and principals like language acquisition theory, humanism theory, constructivism theory, formative assessment, and summative assessment. According to the distinctiveness of ethnic minority college English teaching in science and technology, we are trying to construct the formative assessment system of ethnic minority college English teaching on the basis of multi-media network teaching mode. We comprehensively and systematically investigate and analyze the construction of the formative assessments＇ impact upon the cultivation of ethnic minority students＇ autonomous learning abilities, the impact upon language learning and teaching, the impact upon students＇ academic achievements, oral scores, and students＇ learning motivations.

English Multimedia Teaching Development Status and Countermeasures

Effective Learner-Lecturer Interaction Working With a Virtual Learning Environment

Using the Internet to learn a language creates wide opportunities to enhance learning （Association of teachers of English in Catalonia （APAC）, 2010）. The Internet activities promote learners＇ self-monitoring ability, encourage the use of multimedia and network technology, and develop students＇ cooperation and participation. During the latest years, there have been many changes in education as these new technologies, including VLEs （Virtual Learning Environments）, which have become an important part in the teaching/learning process. According to Tech Terms Computer Dictionary （2012）, VLE is a virtual classroom where teachers and students communicate. VLEs have evolved as at an early stage, they were only ways of transmitting information： Teachers uploaded the multimedia resources and students read this information. At a higher stage, VLEs have become interactive. This means that students become active. We have designed a virtual environment where students, weekly, must contribute their opinions and comments in response to a required activity uploaded by the teacher. In this paper, we describe this weekly task and analyze students＇ opinion about this planned activity. The students become an active subject in this field. In this paper, we show how VLEs are no longer a means of transmitting information but a means of interaction as well as a way of motivating our students to be involved in their learning process
