The volume defects in pure pyrite and quartz from a classical Cu-Pb-Zn-Fe sulfide deposit were investigated.The results indicate that a large number of volume defects exist in natural pyrite and quartz.The volume defe...The volume defects in pure pyrite and quartz from a classical Cu-Pb-Zn-Fe sulfide deposit were investigated.The results indicate that a large number of volume defects exist in natural pyrite and quartz.The volume defects assume a variety of shapes,including long strips,oval shapes and irregular shapes,with sizes ranging from a few microns to dozens of microns.These volume defects are rich in metallogenic elements as a result of the capture of metallogenic and mineralizing fluid during the defect-forming process.The volume defects are fractured during the grinding process,and their chemical components are released into the solution,as confirmed by the abundant presence of various metal and non-metal components in the cleaning water and EDS results.Under the experimental conditions of 10 g pyrite or quartz with grinding fineness of d90=37 μm,which was cleaned in 40 m L of pure deionised water under an inert atmosphere,the total average concentrations of Cu,Pb,Zn,Fe,Ca,Mg and Cl-in the aqueous solution are 32.09×10^-7,16.51×10^-7,19.45×10^-7,516.52×10^-7,129.50×10^-7,35.30×10^-7 and 433.80×10^-7 mol/L,respectively,for pyrite and 19.20×10^-7,8.88×10^-7,8.31×10^-7,82.71×10^-7,16.21×10^-7,4.28×10^-7 and 731.26×10^-7 mol/L,respectively,for quartz.These values are significantly greater than those from the experimental non-oxidative dissolution of the pyrite or quartz,respectively.Therefore,the metallogenic fluid in volume defects of mineral crystal is concluded to represent the dominant contribution to the solution chemistry of sulfide flotation pulp.The present investigation will help to deeply understand the flotation theory of sulfide minerals.展开更多

The decomposition kinetics for formation of CO2 hydrates in 90 cm 3wet natural silica sands were studied systematically using the depressurization method at the temperatures ranging from 273.2 to 277.2 K and the press...The decomposition kinetics for formation of CO2 hydrates in 90 cm 3wet natural silica sands were studied systematically using the depressurization method at the temperatures ranging from 273.2 to 277.2 K and the pressures from 0.5 to 1.0 MPa.The effects of temperature,pressure,particle diameter,porosity,and salinity of formation water on the decomposition kinetics were investigated.The results show that the dissociation percentage increases as temperature increases or as the initial decomposition pressure decreases.An increase in porosity or a decrease in particle diameter of silica sands accelerates the decomposition.Increasing the salinity of the formation water gives rise to a faster decomposition.However,a combination of the present results with the observations in literature reveals that the effect of the coexisting ionic solute depends on its chemical structure.展开更多
While academic resilience has been a hot topic in positive psychology,there is still scope for researchers to explore it in the field of applied linguistics.Drawing on the framework of L2(second language) learners’ r...While academic resilience has been a hot topic in positive psychology,there is still scope for researchers to explore it in the field of applied linguistics.Drawing on the framework of L2(second language) learners’ resilience proposed by T.Y.Kim and Y.K.Kim(2017),the current study aims to examine senior high school students’ English academic resilience(EAR) and its relationship to their English achievement(EA).This study comprises a survey of 454 senior high school students.Follow-up interviews were carried out to triangulate the quantitative findings.The descriptive results demonstrate that students’ EAR is above the average,and its five subscales obtain medium to medium-higher levels due to the mean scores.It shows that students have good EAR that enables them to deal with academic adversity.The correlational analysis shows a low positive correlation between EAR and EA in general,and the subscales share medium to low correlations with students’ EA.EAR has a certain influence on EA,but the correlation may be influenced by other learner variables.Based on the results,suggestions on improving students’ EAR are provided.展开更多

And the ore-controlling mechanism and the formation mechanism of the blasting breccia pipes were investigated. The main conclusion shows that Hewan and Nanmenshan breccia pipes nearby the NW-striking deep fault are shaped earlier, belonging to the acidic siliceous ingredient production of ultra-hypabyssal magmatic in the late magma stage; Tietangdong and Nanmenshan breccia pipes that are shaped latter are the ultra-hypabyssal auriferous fluid production composed mainly of the skarn in the hydrothermal stage after the magma period. Both root in the unified deep magmatic chamber, belonging to differentiation derivatives at different stages in the deep magmatic chamber.展开更多

The results show that, adding 0.05%, 0.1% and 0.5% (mass fraction) urea, the emission concentrations of dioxin are 0.287 0.258 and 0.217 ng-TEQ/m3, respectively. The dioxin emission rates drop substantially compared to 0.777 ng-TEQ/m3 flee of urea. With an increase of the urea content, the concentration of SO2 emission reduces sharply. (NH4)2SO4, formed by the reaction of SO2 and NH3, goes into the dust and part of NH3 is released before reaction with the emission of exhaust gas. The NO~ emission presents an increasing trend because the reaction of NH3 and 02 at high temperature produces NOx. Based on the consideration of factors such as the effect of reducing dioxin emission, and the chemical composition of exhaust gas, 0.05% is the optimum adding content of urea.展开更多

Diversity of the social-background variables and, particularly, the multitude of languages they knew, explain, to a considerable extent, firstly, the wide variety of their social, political and economic views, and, secondly, the elite's resort to direct contact with Western governments and peoples in communicating and promoting their political ideology, thus facilitating the realization of the Zionist project.展开更多

A range of researchers have investigated the effect of different types of error feedback to find whether the feedback can help L2 writers improve the accuracy of their writing. Similar to the previously discussed question, they have also reached rather controversial conclusions. Most often, these studies have categorized corrective feedback as either direct or indirect. To explore the effects of corrective feedback in L2 writing, the paper investigated the types of feedback given to 30 college students of Tianhe College in Guangdong province.
