大学英语应用能力口语测试模式研究是北京市教委在市属高校中重点推行的大学英语教学改革项目。该项目的开展源于大学英语教育的国际化人才培养目标以及首都国际化大都市英语人才的需求,项目以《大学英语课程教学要求》和《欧洲语言共... 大学英语应用能力口语测试模式研究是北京市教委在市属高校中重点推行的大学英语教学改革项目。该项目的开展源于大学英语教育的国际化人才培养目标以及首都国际化大都市英语人才的需求,项目以《大学英语课程教学要求》和《欧洲语言共同参考框架》为理论指导,针对现行大学英语教学与测评中存在的不足,研发出大学英语口语应用能力测试模式。和国际国内同类口语测试相比,该口语测评模式在测试梯级、测试形式、考察内容、评分标准方面都具备一定的创新和特色,重点体现了口语应用能力的交际互动性、情景性和真实性,评分模式具备客观性,测评结果中的能力描述报告能让学生准确把握自己的长处和不足。该模式属于过程性和诊断性测评,以反拨教学为目标,为北京地区市属高校的大学英语教学改革提供指导性的框架和内容。 展开更多

Teaching assessment is one of the most important components of college English teaching. The traditional assessment system over emphasizes the summative assessment, which used examinations as the main assessment method. Formative assessment focuses on the process assessment during the practice of teaching. It is integrated in the teaching and learning process and cannot be separated as evaluation. The formative assessment aims to confirm the students' potential, develop their ability in study and strengthen the students' confidence and the spirit of cooperation. It is also a method intended to generate feedback on performance to improve and accelerate teaching and learning effectively. Based on some theories, this paper states the importance of the application of formative assessment in college oral English teaching. It also introduces some principles and measures to apply this assessment. The reasonable and effective application can promote college oral English teaching. 展开更多

CLT focus on improving students' communicative competence through creating harmonious teaching environment, establishing fruitful teacher-student relationship and organizing effective classroom activities. Through the experiment done in the an independent college oral English class, this thesis tries to prove CLT is effective for improving independent college students' communicative competence by tests, questionnaire and interview to seventy non-English freshmen of our college by means of qualitative and quantitative methods. Besides, this thesis provides the teaching model of CLT. Through the painstaking organization of classroom teaching, students can experience the real communicative environment and can cultivate the ability of using language. 展开更多

Chinese college students have some drawbacks in English learning and mastering. Through a dozen years of English learning, some of them have high ability of passing examinations, but the practical application ability is barely satisfactory with relatively poor listening level and oral expression ability. The objective cause for this situation is the relatively single and stylization English teaching model used by traditional colleges and universities. This model only emphasizes learning on class which greatly harms students' English learning enthusiasm and initiatives. The result is that although the students passed CET4 and CET6 long time before their graduation, they still not dare to open their mouth to speaking concerning face to face English communications. Over the years, the researches on how to improve college students' English application ability never stop and they did obtain some achievements and show some opportunities, for example, if we can bring APP (application programs) into college English listening class, it will largely meet students requirements on English learning and this can also replenish and perfect traditional English teaching model. 展开更多
