加强高职院校行业英语教学改革探讨——以护理英语为例

随着我国经济的发展,全球市场的放开,各个行业对精通英语并掌握一定的行业知识的技能型人才的需求呈上升趋势。但部分高职院校的英语教学由于受到生源、教材、课程设置、师资等方面的原因,教学现状仍需改善。在这种形势下,行业英语是高职院校英语教学改革的必然趋势。通过改进教学方法,选择和专业相关的教学内容,加强英语教师专业培训,提升行业英语在课程设置上的地位,实现职业教学的目标。

医学类高职高专英语教师ESP方向调查分析

传统意义上的英语教学强调教学的重点应是语言本身的一些使用规则与用法,而现代社会的英语教学则强调教学的重点应是语言具体运用于实际的交际中。《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》指明了大学英语的发展方向,使各高等院校的毕业生能够成为满足于社会所需要的具有外语综合素质与能力的人才,一般用途英语不再是大学英语教学的主要目标[1]。

高职英语“微”课程中教师的发展模式

Study on the Enlightenment of MOOCs on College English Curriculum Setting

MOOC, as a new means of education informatization, does impact the traditional college English curriculum settings, which needs to adapt to the development trend of online education. Through the analysis of the domestic and foreign literature review, it concludes that our country＇s college English curriculum should introduce more MOOCs, and make international MOOCs become one parts of their own curriculums. Students can choose any English course with their own interests. And college English curriculum teachers should improve their skills and become more specialized to adapt to the new trend of world higher education.

In the Name of ESP Comments on the Recent Discussion on College English Teaching Reform in China

One of the most controversial debate topics in current College English teaching is whether EGP （English for General Purposes） should be replaced by ESP （English for Specific Purposes）. The latest College English Curriculum issued by MOE （Ministry of Education） does not reflect the trend of developing College English Teaching by focusing on ESP, but rather on improving general English course books. However, the first local College English Curriculum published in 2012 in Shanghai focuses on developing ESP and English for academic purpose as its teaching objectives. This paper analyzes different definitions of ESP in China＇s education setting, compares different views on handling the relationship between EGP and ESP in China＇s College English Reform, and explores how to apply an appropriate notion of EGP to College English teaching in China.

In this research paper, we conduct research on development trend of contemporary English education pattern under the quality education and the ability oriented background.
