It can directly reflect the idea, goal, plan and implementation of foreign language education policy. The 2020 edition of the new curriculum standard carries out the party’s policies, implements the fundamental task of “foster virtue through education” in English subject education, and takes the development of students’ core literacy as the fundamental idea, and this paper constructs the curriculum content centering on the core competence of English subject. Based on Robert Cooper’s language policy analysis framework, this paper analyzes the “English Curriculum Standard for Senior High School (2020 edition)” (hereinafter referred to as the curriculum standard 2020). This paper probes into the educational aims, the ways of implementation and the practical results brought about by the foreign language education policy in the curriculum standard, and also based on the analysis results, puts forward some corresponding suggestions for the teaching of English teachers in senior high schools, improving the quality of our high school English education.展开更多
