Today, businesses are struggling to survive intensely, to be able to be heard in a global competitive environment, and to keep their market share to the forefront. In this sense, the businesses that have taken into consideration that the current developments have caused great changes in the consumers, also added social media which they use very intensely in order to reach the consumers in the period that the traditional methods have lost importance, to their marketing mix as an important brand communication medium. Social media makes it necessary to go out of tradition in marketing activities. In the social media economy, consumers are at the forefront, and the structures that carry on their activities in interaction with the consumer are gaining importance. Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube are among the most frequently used social networks in our country, but in recent times Instagram is another platform that has recently attracted the attention of companies. The study examined the comparison of traditional marketing and social media marketing. The study also examined the importance of using images and the usage of Instagram as a marketing tool.展开更多

How much the goal was an exploratory research, how much the procedure was a literature search, how much as nature was an applied research, and how much as approach was qualitative research? The following instruments were identified and selected: (a) the methodology for the analysis of metropolitan transport systems; (b) the knowledge management maturity model (Siemens); and (c) Documentation and Information Centre. The simulation, using the tools in the knowledge management to analyze the Company Metropolitan of S^io Paulo--METRO, identified the need for improvements in eight areas and the problems: (1) rethink the knowledge management area; (2) develop new knowledge management policies; (3) define responsibilities in knowledge management area; (4) implement new knowledge management processes; (5) explore new ways and structures of knowledge; (6) consider the internal and external actors in knowledge management actions; (7) expand the dissemination of the collaborative culture; and (8) integrate in the knowledge management area current and future initiatives. The analysis shows that the transposition of the current situation to the desired situation for the company can be obtained with the implementation of an Information and Documentation Centre. The conclusion is that this set of tools allows to characterize, evaluate, and model the knowledge management in this business.展开更多

Attracting the majority of enterprises, Wechat increasingly become a new product marketing platform. Wechat marketing in the film industry has also been widely used. but the development of the film industry has its own characteristics, so when using Wechat marketing, certain principles and methods should be followed, to achieve the desired effect. This paper focuses on the analysis of film industy marketing based on Wechat platform and also predicting its development trend.展开更多

It was classified as much polluted being critical for Alqueva-Pedrogāo System. The aim of this study was to estimate the transported nutrients loads in a transboundary watershed using the SWAT (soil and water assessment tool) model and to determine the contribution of nutrients load in the entire watershed. Ardila watershed is about 3,711 km^2 extended from Spain (78%) to the eastern part of Portugal (22%). It was discretized into 32 sub-basins using automated delineation routine, and 174 hydrologic response units. Monthly average meteorological data (from 1947 to 1998) were used to generate daily values through the weather generator Model incorporated in SWAT. Real daily precipitation (from 1931 to 2003) was introduced. The model was calibrated and verified for flow (from 1950 to 2000) and nutrients (from 1981 to 1999). Model performance was evaluated using statistical parameters, such as NSE (Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency) and root mean square error (R2). Calibration and verification flow results showed a satisfactory agreement between simulated and measured monthly date from 1962 to 1972 (NSE = 0.8; R^2 = 0.9). The results showed that the most important diffuse pollution comes from the two the main tributary (Spain). The estimated nitrogen and phosphorous loads contribution per year was respectively 72% and 59% in Spain and 28% and 41% in Portugal. The SWAT model was revealed to be a useful tool for an integrated water management approach that might be improved taking into count the WFD (water framework directive).展开更多

Firms often claim that their presence in social media (SM) is a key element to success. SM helps companies rethink the traditional one-way flow of their marketing messages and to incorporate a new interactive pattern into their communications. Nevertheless, these tendencies involve problems of strategic myopia for firms that do not structurally integrate these tools. One main problem is that institutions can rarely differentiate between the various types of SM and the attributes thereof, while the literature equally reveals a number of contradictions in the subject. The present conceptual paper lays the foundations of a strategic approach to SM and discusses its theoretical implications. Following an overview on the concept of SM, through a content analysis of the specialized management literature (n = 14), we present various best practices and reflect on the apparent lack of strategic thinking in using SM as a marketing application. Then, we compare these practical examples with general marketing strategy theory. By merging theory and practice, we aim to provide an insight towards a well-founded application of SM as a genuinely strategic marketing tool.展开更多

Organic nitrogen (N) as well as phosphorus (P) output due to nonpoint source erosion was estimated through SWAT. Parameters governing the mechanics of streamflow discharge, sediment yield, nitrogen, and phosphorus output in SWAT were calibrated in a distributed fashion. A five-year period of record for nutrient was used for model calibration, while a four-year period was used for model validation. Comparing measured versus simulated average monthly total N, and P loads for the calibration and validation periods; respectively, we found that SWAT model performed reasonably well for Song Cau watershed. Simulation results showed that monthly Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient of Efficiency (NSE) ranged from 0.65 to 0.83, observation's standard deviation ratio (RSR) and percent bias (PBIAS) ranged from 0.41 to 0.58 and -36.12 to 2.78, respectively. Additionally, SWAT simulation results also showed that land-use changes caused significant percentage of changes in sediment yield, total N, and P loads within Song Cau watershed.展开更多

They are tools by which customers become acquainted with new and innovative products and services of the companies. Despite the importance of these tools in increasing sales, it is not easy to evaluate their effect on sales. One of the problems confronted by the marketing managers is the determination of a clear relationship between the effectiveness of advertising and sales promotion on profitability. In this article, considering the relationship between these tools and brand equity, we have attempted to determine the relationship between effectiveness of these two factors and profitability. Next, a system dynamics model for representing the effects of marketing communication tools on company profitability is offered. Finally, using the data from a corporation and the numeric values related to each of the elements in the model, an attempt has been made to determine a number representing the magnitude of the effect of advertising and sales promotion on the corporation's revenue and profitability and to draw the respective curves related to the effects of these two factors.展开更多
