The results showed that EFC resistance of the alloy decreased with increasing quench transfer time. Backscattered electron scanning electron microscope （SEM） together with transmission electron microscope （TEM） observations revealed that the coverage ratio and microstructure of precipitates at grain boundary area are the most important factors which influence the EFC susceptibility of the alloy, while precipitate-free zone （PFZ） near grain boundary has no or only a minor effect on it. In addition, galvanostatic measurements of the alloy present a good correlation between EFC resistance and transients in potential. The cumulated number of transients in potential can be used to evaluate EFC resistance of the alloy.展开更多

To explore the spatial-temporal distribution of the phytoplankton community and evaluate the combined effects of marine resource exploitation, net-collected phytoplankton and physical-chemical parameters were investig...To explore the spatial-temporal distribution of the phytoplankton community and evaluate the combined effects of marine resource exploitation, net-collected phytoplankton and physical-chemical parameters were investigated in the Xiangshan Bay during the four seasons of 2010. A total of eight phyla, 97 genera, and 310 species were found, including 232 diatom species, 45 dinoflageUate species and 33 other taxa. The phytoplankton abundances presented a significant （P〈0.001） seasonal difference with the average of 60.66x104 cells/m3. Diatoms （mainly consisting of Coscinodiscus jonesianus, Cerataulina pelagica, Skeletonema costatum, and genus Chaetoceros） dominated the phytoplankton assemblage in all seasons. We found great spatio-temporal variation in community composition based on the multidimensional scaling and similarity analysis. Canonical correspondence analysis show that temperature, nutrition, illumination, and salinity were the main variables associated with microalgal assemblage. Compared with the previous studies, an increase in phytoplankton abundance and change in the dominant species coincided with increased exploitation activities in this bay （e.g. operation of coastal power plants, intensive mariculture, tidal fiat reclamation, and industrial and agricultural development）. The present findings suggest that the government should exercise caution when deciding upon developmental patterns in the sea-related economy.展开更多
The stochastic resonance behavior of coupled stochastic resonance(SR)system with time-delay under mass and frequency fluctuations was studied.Firstly,the approximate system model of the time-delay system was obtained ...The stochastic resonance behavior of coupled stochastic resonance(SR)system with time-delay under mass and frequency fluctuations was studied.Firstly,the approximate system model of the time-delay system was obtained by the theory of small time-delay approximation.Then,the random average method and Shapiro-Loginov algorithm were used to calculate the output amplitude ratio of the two subsystems.The simulation analysis shows that increasing the time-delay and the input signal amplitude appropriately can improve the output response of the system.Finally,the system is applied to bearing fault diagnosis and compared with the stochastic resonance system with random mass and random frequency.The experimental results show that the coupled SR system taking into account the actual effect of time-delay and couple can more effectively extract the frequency of the fault signal,and thus realizing the diagnosis of the fault signal,which has important engineering application value.展开更多

However, none of these applications have taken account of time lag effects in the modeling process. Aiming at overcoming the defect, the authors introduced time lag items into SCGM(1, m ) c model and developed a SCGM(1, m ) c model with time lag, then discusses in detail some principal problems in the model, such as parameters estimation, model verifying, model prediction, etc. The model was used on a real slope monitoring project and compared with the conventional SCGM(1, m ) c model. The results show an improvement of average models precision from 1.321 to 0.238 and total average of relative prediction errors from 12.41% to 7.98% when the modeling data length ranges from 29 to 48 in the slope monitoring case.展开更多
In order to investigate the effects of processing pH stimulation on bioleaching of chalcopyrite by moderate thermophiles,copper leaching rates and the dynamics of microbial community structures of free and attached ce...In order to investigate the effects of processing pH stimulation on bioleaching of chalcopyrite by moderate thermophiles,copper leaching rates and the dynamics of microbial community structures of free and attached cells were monitored. The results indicated that when the processing pH values were respectively adjusted to 1.0 and 3.0 on day 14, both free and attached cells experienced an adaptive phase. Meanwhile, the copper leaching rates were 86.9% and 64.0%,respectively, as opposed to a copper leaching rate of 87.5% in the control group without pH stimulation. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analysis suggested that pH stimulation imposed less impact on the attached organisms than on the free cells, indicating that the attached cells were more resistant to processing pH stimulation than the free cells. Furthermore, adjusting processing pH to 3.0 significantly disrupted both free and attached microbial communities, and the bioleaching system could not recover to the normal status as the control group.展开更多
