The local bifurcation of this system is investigated by using L S method and the singularity theory. The Z 2 bifurcation in non degenerate case is discussed. The local bifurcation diagrams of the unfolding parameters and the bifurcation response characters referred to the physical parameters of the system are obtained by numerical simulation. The results of the computer simulation are coincident with the theoretical analysis and experimental results.展开更多

The stress state and mechanical response of the filling body along the remained roadway were studied. Specifically, firstly, the supporting pressure of the coal pillar which is on one side of the gob-side remained roadway was deduced. Also, an equation that is used to calculate the width of the balance area in the stress limit state was acquired. Then, an equation that is used to calculate the roof cutting force on one side of the supporting body was obtained. By using FLAC3D, the authors investigated the displacement field and stress field response laws of rock masses around the roadway with different filling body's widths. The results show that with the filling body's width increasing, the supporting ability of the filling body increases.Meanwhile, the rock mass displacement around the roadway and the filling body deformation decrease. The better the filling body's supporting effect is, the higher the roof cutting force will be. When the filling body's width is larger than 3.0 m, its internal bearing ability becomes stable and the filling body's deformation became non-apparent. Finally, analysis shows that the filling body's width should be 2.5 m.Furthermore, the authors conducted field tests in the supply roadway 1204, using high-water materials and acquired expected outcomes.展开更多

However, the mechanical property of the overburden in the backfill stope and the designed size of the backfill mining workface should also be considered. In this study, we established a main roof strata model with loads in accordance with the theory of key strata to investigate the stability of the overburden in solid dense filling mining. We analyzed the stress distribution law of the main roof strata based on elastic thin plate theory. The results show that the position of the long side midpoint of the main roof strata failed more easily because of tensile yield, indicating that this position is the area where failure is likely to occur more easily. We also deduced the stability mechanics criterion of the main roof strata based on tensile yield criterion. The factors affecting the stability of the overburden in solid dense filling mining were also analyzed, including the thickness and elasticity modulus of the main roof strata, overlying strata loads, advanced distance and length of workface, and elastic foundation coefficient of backfill body. The research achievements can provide an important theoretical basis for determining the designed size of the solid dense filling mining workface.展开更多

When the main roof stress distribution was characterized, the failure form of the roof in the long wall coal seam under work was given with the failure criterion deduced. The deduced failure criterion was then applied to the No.3232(3) face of the Li- zuizi Coal Mine; the first pressure for the working face was accurately predicted. Results of the field application show that the main roof of the severely inclined coal seam under long wall working breaks in the O-X pattern, which is basically in accor- dance with the reality.展开更多

Neither the grid pattern nor the number of nodes is fixed, being adjustable according to convergence need. The C~ continuity conditions char- acterizing the thin plate theory are discussed and the robustness of the weak form quadrature element for thin plates against shape distortion is examined. Examples are presented and comparisons with analytical solutions and the results of the finite element method are made to demonstrate the convergence and computational efficiency of the weak form quadrature element method. It is shown that the present formulation is applicable to thin plates with varying thickness as well as uniform plates.展开更多

The essence of the work is to solve two important problems, one for positions of the pilot valve influenced by flow force and the other is for the opening of the relief valve governed by a thin annular plate. The computational fluid dynamics(CFD) method is used to present the flow force. Using a series of experiments, the flow rate versus pressure drop shows the rationality of the CFD results. In order to obtain the opening of relief valve with higher accuracy, the large deflection theory of thin plates is adopted. An equivalent method for replacing the concentrated force is innovatively proposed so that all of the loads of the plates can be given by a unified expression, which reduces the number of the governing equations and intermediate boundary conditions. For presenting a very simple and reliable method for solving the governing equation, an unconstrained nonlinear optimization is innovatively introduced to solve the deflection of the thin annular plate. Being verified by finite-element method(FEM) of the relief valve, the equivalent method and optimization can solve deflection of thin plates rapidly and accurately. Reflected through a complete model for the pilot relief valve, the theoretical flow rate of the pilot relief valve is consistent with experimental conclusion. Once again, the comparisons bring us insight into the accuracy of the method adopted in the current work.展开更多
