Non-liner wave equation inversion,wavelet analysis and artificial neural networks were used to obtain stratum parameters and the distribution of thin coal seams.The lithology of the water-bearing/resisting layer in the Quaternary system was also predicted.The implementation process included calculating the well log parameters,stratum contrasting the seismic data and the well logs,and extracting,studying and predicting seismic attributes.Seismic inversion parameters,including the layer velocity and wave impedance,were calculated and effectively used for prediction and analysis.Prior knowledge and seismic interpretation were used to remedy a dearth of seismic data during the inversion procedure.This enhanced the stability of the inversion method.Non-linear seismic inversion and artificial neural networks were used to interpret coal seismic lithology and to study the water-bearing/resisting layer in the Quaternary system.Interpretation of the 1~2 m thin coal seams,and also of the water-bearing/resisting layer in the Quaternary system,is provided.The upper mining limit can be lifted from 60 m to 45 m.The predictions show that this method can provide reliable data useful for thin coal seam exploitation and for lifting the upper mining limit,which is one of the principles of green mining. 展开更多

Single-borehole measuring method for broken rock zone in gently inclined thin layer weakness structure

According to the structural characteristics of gently inclined thin layer rock mass in which lots of weak interlayer existed,the concept of gently inclined thin layer weakness structure was proposed.If single-borehole measuring method of the acoustic along the conventional arrangement mode was used in measuring the broken rock zone in this structure,the change of the relationship curves (Vp-L) between acoustic p-wave velocity (Vp) and borehole depth (L) would present the irregular feature due to the mechanical characteristics of layered rock mass and harmful effects of weak interlayers,and the scope of broken rock zone couldn't be defined quickly.Based on the analysis of the me- chanical characteristics of layered rock mass,the propagation rule of acoustic and distri- butions characteristics of plastic zone and slip zone in layered rock mass,new arrange- ment mode of acoustic measuring boreholes for broken rock zone in gently inclined thin layer weakness structure was proposed.Namely,the measuring boreholes in two sides were parallel to the strata,the measuring boreholes in the roof and floor perpendicular to the strata.Besides the controlling depth of the measuring boreholes in the scope of the large plastic zones or the large slip zones should be increased.Engineering example showed that new acoustic measuring boreholes arrangement mode had the better appli- cability and could determine the scope of the broken rock zone in the gently inclined thin layer weakness structure quickly. 展开更多

Practice and adaptable conditions classification of aquifer-protective mining in longwall coalface for shallow seam with thin bedrock

A set of adaptable conditions classification of aquifer-protective mining in the Iongwall coalface for shallow coal seams with thin bedrock was put forward to deal with the conflict between water protection and high efficiency for the mining field in west China. This classification was suitable for shallow coal seams with different thickness and was beneficial to the local environmental protection. Using the 3-Universal Distinct Element Code (3DEC) numerical software, the height of the fractured zones for shallow coal seams with thin bedrock was calculated and analyzed, and its predicting formula was achieved. Meanwhile, according to the lithology and the weathering degree of the shallow coal seam the thickness of the protective layer was determined as 10 m and the overlying water body of loose water-bearing sand for shallow coal seams with thin bedrock was divided into three types, namely, weak, medium and strong. Based on these, the necessary bedrock thickness of the Iongwall coalface for shallow coal seams with thin bedrock was confined according to the different mining height and water yield nature of the overlying loose water-bearing sand. Combined with the present mining status, a set of new methods of adaptable conditions classification of aquifer-protective mining technology in the Iongwall coalface for shallow coal seams with thin bedrock was put forward. 展开更多
