In thi...This paper describes a virtual environment, which can present dynamic force transformation during the control of objects. A 5-DOF haptic interface with the capability to generate kinesthetic effect is combined. In this system, the operator manipulates an object in a virtual environment by using the 5-DOF master arm. When contacting with the virtual object, the contact force can be calculated and shown in the graphic interface. The contact response and deformation of the virtual object, which are usually called haptic rendering, also can be performed. The study supplies an approach to improve the operator’s immersion and can be used in many tele-robot control fields.展开更多
The seismic behavior of frames with semi rigid connections and rotational dampers is examined.The ground acceleration due to earthquake is regarded as a stochastic process,and a pseudo excitation algorithm in frequen...The seismic behavior of frames with semi rigid connections and rotational dampers is examined.The ground acceleration due to earthquake is regarded as a stochastic process,and a pseudo excitation algorithm in frequency domain is implemented in a computer program to handle non orthogonal damping properties of the system.The computer program which incorporates detailed connection models and rotational damping models is used to investigate the effect of the connection of the semi rigid frame.It is shown from analytical studies that semi rigid frames with rotational dampers improve the seismic response of the building and may provide an effective and reliable earthquake resistant design solution.展开更多

Under the straight-line running condition, the dynamic r...This paper developed 3D product models of motorcycle and engine by UGNX as well as virtual prototyping by ADAMS program with road roughness generated by MATLAB. Under the straight-line running condition, the dynamic responses of motorcycle multibody system to both road and engine excitations were compared with those to only road excitation in terms of vertical acceleration response, amplitude frequency response and power spectral density. The comparisons of simulation data showed that the response due to flat road excitation was around 20 Hz, while that to the combined excitations was in a wide frequency band, of which the major components focused on 10 Hz, 15 Hz, 35 Hz ,70 Hz, 100 Hz and even higher frequencies, reflecting the characteristics of engine excitation based on its unbalanced inertia force and torque. It is concluded that the high fidelity virtual prototyping can simulate the dynamics of motorcycle product well in investigating the vibration and ride comfort performance.展开更多

A way should be put forward to automate the network to improve res...The network services today require extremely agile and mobile, however, the traditional IP infrastructures are so rigid that cannot fit services well. A way should be put forward to automate the network to improve responsiveness to change. SDN and network virtualization(NV) are two hottest approaches to make networking more automated and scalable to support virtualized and cloud environments. Network virtualization combines hardware and software network resources and network functionality into a single virtual network. SDN is created to simplify traffic management and achieve operational efficiencies by establish and exercising central control over packet forwarding. In this paper, we focus on the situation where SDN controller needs to connect two virtual networks temporarily. We put forward three algorithms to try to make this connection more effective and evaluate these three algorithms.展开更多
