Based on the multi-body kinematics principle, the topological structure and restriction relation among parts of machine tool and 3D multi-body model are constructed, the kinematics simulation system of machine tool is developed. The designer can observe the movement and machining course of the whole machine tool and understand accurately the kinematics parameters of components such as position, velocity and acceleration. Also the designer can estimate the pose of components in the virtual circumstance and forecast accurately and correct problems which may appear during the design before the prototype is manufactured to assure the feasibility of design scheme, shorten period of product design and reduce product cost. The simulation system is used during the design of CK1416 high speed and precision numerical control lathe. The curves of ball screw angular velocity and carriage displacement agree well with the results of theoretical calculation and the constructed model is correct. 展开更多

Based on the characteristics of integrated virtual prototype technology, the mechanical system sub-model, the hydraulic system sub-model and the control system sub-model of a forging manipula- tor system have been built using a variety of software, and a forging manipulator mtrltidisciplinary co- simulation model has been also built using a method of simulation models interface. Then the simu- lation and experiment are finished, and the result of the experiment is in good agreement with the re- sult of the simulation. It shows that the co-simulation model established can simulate accurately pa- rameter changes in real time during the moving of the forging manipulator such as displacement, ve- locity and pressure flow, which is of important significance for the optimized design of the forging manipulator system to establish the models. 展开更多

To save cost, more and more users choose provision resources at the granularity of virtual machines in cluster systems, especially data centres. Maintaining a consistent member view is the foundation of reliable cluster managements, and it also raises several challenge issues for large scale cluster systems deployed with virtual machines (which we call virtualized clusters). In this paper, we introduce our experience in design and implementation of scalable member view management on large-scale virtual clusters. Our research contributions include three-aspects : 1 ) we propose a scalable and reliable management infrastructure that combines a peer-to-peer structure and a hierarchy structure to maintain a consistent member view in virtual clusters; 2 ) we present a light-weighted group membership algorithm that can reach the consistent member view within a single round of message exchange; 3 ) we design and implement a scalable membership service that can provide virtual machines and maintain a consistent member view in virtual clusters. Our work is verified on Dawning 5000A, which ranked No. 10 of Top 500 super computers in November, 2008. 展开更多

In this paper, we aimed at designing a practical trustworthiness mechanism in virtual environment. With the assist of a third certificate agent, the cloud user generates a trust base and extends it to its VMs. For each service running on the VM, a hash value is generated from all the necessary modules, and these hash values are organized and maintained with a specially designed hash tree whose root is extended from the user's trust base. Before the VM loads a service, the hash tree is verified from the coordinated hash value to check the trustworthiness of the service. 展开更多

A virtual prototyping model of the tractor-aircraft system based on Lagrange's equation of the first kind with Lagrange mutipliers was established in this paper, According to the towing characteristics, a path-tracking controller using fuzzy logic theory was designed. Direction control herein was carried out through a compensatory tracking approach. Interactive co-simulation was performed to validate the path-tracking behavior in closed-loop, Simulation results indicated that the tractor followed the reference courses precisely on a flat ground. 展开更多

Virtual machines (... Internet-based virtual computing environment (iVCE) has been proposed to combine data centers and other kinds of computing resources on the Internet to provide efficient and economical services. Virtual machines (VMs) have been widely used in iVCE to isolate different users/jobs and ensure trustworthiness, but traditionally VMs require a long period of time for booting, which cannot meet the requirement of iVCE's large-scale and highly dynamic applications. To address this problem, in this paper we design and implement VirtMan, a fast booting system for a large number of virtual machines in iVCE. VirtMan uses the Linux Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) target to remotely mount to the source image in a scalable hierarchy, and leverages the homogeneity of a set of VMs to transfer only necessary image data at runtime. We have implemented VirtMan both as a standalone system and for OpenStack. In our 100-server testbed, VirtMan boots up 1000 VMs (with a 15 CB image of Windows Server 2008) on 100 physical servers in less than 120 s, which is three orders of magnitude lower than current public clouds. 展开更多
